My ex husband always insisted we see his family on Thanksgiving, and I was not allowed to "camp out" for Black Friday until late Thursday night. So glad I won't have that problem this year especially with the stores open earlier. He doesn't get it - every day is about my family to me, not Thanksgiving. You cherish your family every day. I'm going to make a full Thanksgiving feast for my new fiancé and kids later and am camping Wednesday night with his blessing! All I want to do Thanksgiving is make the sacrifice with a bottle of water, granola bars, and the cold so my loved ones can have a better Christmas. Meanwhile I am thankful for them every day, and this is one way I want to show it!

Does anyone know where, in store or online, I can get a good discount on any of the following PS3 games?: 007 Legends Call of Duty Black Ops 2 WWE '13 Halo 4 I noticed WWE '13 on an Amazon list but I forget where I saw it and I don't know what day it is (lightning deal). I'll be in line all day Thursday and out until middle of the night Friday so I'm hoping it's Friday before I go to work. The other three I haven't seen on sale anywhere. Thanks for any help with this!

I was too late for the Samsung Galaxy 2 tablet I was hoping to get but I scored a lot of great video game and accessory deals (like Assassins Creed III for $35!)! Still have to camp in line for 2 laptops and the tablet. But the great thing is the fact that on Friday midnight I can just get my ticket items and go to the next store instead of fighting the mob for the video game stuff and taking more time reducing my chances of getting the deals I want elsewhere.

I agree the deals this year are disappointing. There are impressive TV deals but unfortunately I don't need a tv. It's hard to justify waiting in the cold in line 26 hours this year but I decided it beats paying even more, even though I'm not saving as much as I would have hoped.

The best gift or tip you can give someone in retail or service is tell their boss you had a good experience with them, so they get a positive mark on their employment record when they come up for raise or promotion.

The Samsung 15.6" laptop, Samsung Galaxy Tab II, and Lenovo 15.6" laptop, all Best Buy doorbusters. Some $35 new PS3 games, especially Assassins Creed III, again at Best Buy. The Victorias Secret tote and hoping for pj and robe discounts there (no word yet). Hoping for good deals at Aeropostale. And hoping Amazon puts swiss army knives and good PS3 games on sale while I am watching the lightning deals after I'm done brick-and-mortar store shopping Friday morning.

The 60" TV at Wal Mart and some of the other TVs seem to be the best deals in my opinion, but unfortunately I don't need a TV right now. There are low prices on laptops, which I am shopping for, but I'm disappointed at the specs on them so not very good deals even though the prices are good. I am also impressed with the $60 video games on sale at Best Buy for $35 and hope to snag some of those. All in all, I don't think the deals are as good as I would expect this year and don't seem as good as in the past. I wish more stores gave away free stuff or free stuff with purchase.

Low of 34 Wednesday (I will be getting in line 10pm after work) Low of 33 Thursday (I will be in line all day) Low of 34 Friday (hopefully by morning I will be home on Amazon with a warm robe, hot chocolate, and space heater) 26 hours in the cold.... Hope I get doorbusters after going through that plus giving up time and a half at work and Thanksgiving with my family.

If you we're willing to use your vacation time I am not judging and in fact you deserve to receive the products you are after. But I guarantee not everyone camping has a job, and some people even plan to "take turns" holding a spot in line with other people which I don't think should be allowed when there are others waiting in line in the cold for days on end. I admire your dedication and am not judging you at all. I am giving up time and a half pay Thursday and Thanksgiving with my family but that doesn't compare. So I hope you get everything you are lining up for. But I don't think I should have to wait in the cold or give up what I am for nothing either, so I'm wondering if 20 are already in line should I go someplace else? By the way, if anyone in my line intends to "take turns" or hold places for some warm, toasty, rested person to show at the end I will be reporting them to the store! I apologize if you took offense. You were not one of the people I was talking about.

I am getting very worried. I can't get in line until after work Wednesday night, 10pm, and its starting to look as though 26 hours ahead of time won't be enough. Must be nice not having to go to work! How can they even afford to buy anything? Do you guys think ill be there early enough to get any of he doorbusters I want (2 laptops, tablet, and also somevideo games). I called my local store to ask when the line formed last year and they wouldn't touch my question with a 10 foot pole. I don't want to wait 26 hours for nothing, not to mention risking losing out on my second store because I was tied up at Best Buy not even getting the stuff.

Subject to change, I plan on getting in the Best Buy line Wednesday 10:00pm after I get out of work. I am worried though that if there are more than 20 in line already I should give up and go somewhere else. I need 2 laptops, a tablet and reduced price new video games. After midnight Black Friday from Best Buy I would head for Victorias Secret and then Aeropostale at the mall, followed by perusing the lightning deals at Amazon from home.

I need one laptop under $400 and one under $200. I was going to go to Best Buy - good choice or no? Also, I want both to have Windows 8.

I have never camped at Wal Mart only Best Buy - how far in advance do people line up and does it take forever to check out?

Please elaborate why the front page one is not good - I was planning on camping for that and two other items. I compared the specs to the Lenovo and Asus and was under the impression it was much better. I have a $400 limit on that laptop, and a $200 limit on the second one (was going for the Lenovo). Was also going for the front page tablet. Should I be going somewhere else instead?

I will probably stop by Aeropostale after Victorias Secret in the mall. I also voted that I would be shopping at Best Buy and Amazon.

I preferred the early morning openings. The overnight part of the wait in line is the worst and I prefer it to be the "home stretch". This year I'm getting in line Wednesday night. I'm going to be in line the entire day Thanksgiving. I at least wish SOME stores didn't open until Friday morning so I could have a second shot at doorbusters.

Best Buy line Wednesday night. Victoria's Secret when I'm done there after midnight Black Friday. Then home to Amazon, or a nap then Amazon. I might stop at Aeropostle too after Victorias Secret. If there are more than 20 in line at Best Buy already when I go there after work Wednesday night I may go to Wal Mart instead (I'm not waiting in line 26 hours to miss the doorbusters anyway!)

Wednesday night after I get out of work at 9:30pm, Best Buy. I'm getting worried whether that will be early enough with people already camping, but I have to go to work. If there are more than 20 in line when I get there I may go to Wal Mart instead. Then after I'm finished at Best Buy going to head to Victorias Secret as fast as possible, again, hopefully early enough for the free tote and deals. They open at midnight just like Best Buy so I will be late.
