People are insane even if they stand in line for 5 minutes to purchase a $500 system.

I just called the local target about the camera and he told me to wear my football equipment b/c it was total chaos last year with the lines going around the store, etc....sorry but no BF deal is that good to go through all that. Like I was trying to explain to my DH, you have to enjoy the thrill of it all ...the whole BF experience...if it is not worth it to you, then don't do it. There are tons of people that stay home and don't give a rats about sitting in line from 1 am until the store opens just to get a Barbie for $5 instead of $10...or a camera for $40 less. I think it all comes down to personality/ preferences.

all the stores are doing terrible this year...not just JC Penneys. Even though the thrill of shopping BF is fun, I am not going to get out just so I can say I did if deals are this crappy. What would be the point?

BF is usually like a coupon...you probably don't need the item but b/c you think you are getting a good deal it is bought anyway resulting in money lost over an item that is not a necessity.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Matching DVD player for $28!!!!!!!!!! nevermind...."temporarily unavailable" go figure.

what's really too bad is when there is not a DVD included in the deal.

I asked this question before and it was deleted, but where in the WORLD do you type in the code? On the home page is a box for "Search" (that's not it) and a box for entering in your e-mail address. Soooooooo...do you have to be a registered member to get to another area to put in the code or what?

I read this sign yesterday when going out for groceries. The reasoning posted is that more and more people are buying gift cards. I did layway one year only to be told everything could not be found. I had to go back out on the floor and look for it all myself...which was quicker in the long run. This particular Wal-Mart is allowing people to do layaway until November....but everything has to be out by then. Gee, I wonder what the ONE layaway person will be doing that is never behind the counter anyway(?)

I don't...but there is never ever ever a deal THAT good in which going through all that crap makes it worth it. I'd rather shell out an extra $20 for something than get up at 3 in the morning.
