Toys, toys, and more toys. With three kids of my own, plus 6 nieces and 4 nephews all 10 and under I buy a lot of toys for Christmas. This year I am going to try to get a TV for myself, but the toys come first.

I actually like the early opening at TRU. I gives me time to get my kids toys then off to other places for myself. Plus with TRU opening early I can get their presents hidden before they wake up.

If you get another paycheck or two by that date then it makes perfect sense to put it a larger item or more stuff on layaway.
Didn't think about it that way. I get paid on the 10th and 25th, so there is only one paycheck in between! I didn't think about those who may get a bonus or paid weekly! I put my stuff on layaway the first day and just divided up the total for each paycheck. I am happy Walmart brought back layaway this year!

I will be shopping in Las Vegas! Hopefully at a few different stores.

Not just the lines, but is it worth it getting there before 10 pm and then waiting until 8 in the morning to put something on layaway? That's 10 hours in Walmart that you're not shopping at any other store. What is worth that?
I agree. Plus everything has to be picked up by the 16th. Not much time between BF and then. Doesn't make much sense.....well besides maybe not having to hide stuff at home for as long.

I have a list of about 35 items this year. My kids are little and they want everything in the ad. LOL So I will be able to finish my shopping then! At least for my kids....nieces and nephews will take a bit.

Thank you for all the suggestions so far. My parents divorced a few years ago and I am having my Dad over with my family and my sister. My Dad's gf and her family will be here as well. I invited them here this year because I am tired of dragging my kids to 3 different places on Christmas day (my grandmas, my Dads, and my FILs). I think I will try to keep it simple, but any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

I find them soooo valuable. I have really learned a lot from them and you've been so helpful don't feel bad about an off night we all have them:) I'd love them while you're in line and def bf week I am really anxious to know more about how buying online works during bf would love a webcast on that and thank you for all that u so

This year I am doing dinner at my house on Christmas Eve. I have NEVER done this before. Never made a turkey.....anything. I can do desserts, but any pointers or suggestions for the dinner would be extremely helpful.

I have been at TRU a couple of hours before they open and I usually have to wait until at least 30 minutes past their opening to get inside. I know I won't make it to Walmart for the 10 pm or 12 am deals on the hot items.

I have never been to the BX on BF. Do people line up early like at BB, Walmart, and Target? My mom offered to go for me, but idk what time she should get there.

Technically my payday falls on BF too, but with my direct deposit it will go in Wednesday night. I too will have an issue if something goes wrong. I have been paying everything early so that pretty much my entire check can be used BF. I hope this does not become an issue. I paid early instead and didn't save much!!!!

Wondering if they will have a comparable TV to the one at BB. I don't have the option to camp and have been one of the first at Sears 2am in years past. fingers crossed.
