I got one!!! Yesterday morning on the Target app. I don’t think they are even putting them out on the shelves. I added it to cart and did store pick up. I couldn’t believe that they had a few and it didn’t get cancelled on me.
Be persistent and check Target every morning. I scored mine around 9am.

How hard to get this season? I read that they are suppose to be releasing them and have got better with production.

Great website to help you find what fits your car. You enter the year, make, model and sometimes some other pieces of information and they will filter their catalog down to what fits. You can then filter down even further to the feature set you want (ie. Apply CarPlay). They sell the installation kits with great instructions and even pre-done wiring if you want. They also offer rather good customer support with people answering the phones that actually seem to know their products.
At the very least, its probably the easiest way to find the model of radio you want that you can then maybe find at Best Buy or some other place and have them install it if you're not in to doing it yourself.

Help my son wants this for Christmas. I don’t even know where to begin. How do I find out which one will work for his car and find the best price? I’m thinking Best Buy. Is there anywhere else I should check? I’d rather buy at a box store than online in case it needs to be returned.

I lucked up a few weeks ago and got the Explore Air 2 (one on sale at Amazon) for $139.00 at Walmart. The mint and denim colors were on clearance. I love it!! And it was an absolute steal at that price! I feel like they may have been $199 last year on Black Friday.
Yes some Walmart’s had that price. I’m jealous!
