While it really may be hard, I'm kind of with your hubby. You'll have BF every other year - save your $ for your trip. You'll be glad when you are there.

There is a Disney Outlet store close to DisneyWorld. I also purchased Disney items at the local Walmart when I was in Orlando.
This may help save money while in the area.

The site is OVERWHELMING with info - I've looked at a lot of the dining info and stuff like that I wish there was more time in the day!

You may want to look on ebay for Disney pins and Lanyards. They can trade pins while at Disney. My boys love doing this!~ It is much cheaper to get them started by getting the pins on e-bay then buying the started kits.
Thank you! I scored 3 lanyards and 50 pens for $8 bucks shipped last night!!! (luckily I'm often up in the middle of the night while everyone else is sleeping so I often steal last minute ebay deals that are ending at odd hours of the night)!!

We are taking the train to FL and flying back to VA DS has never been on a train before so we figured with flights being so overpriced Christmas day we'd save money and all catch a train for less than 1 of us could fly for and then he could get the experience as well and still have the flying experience on the way backThere are Disney things that are sold other than the Disney Store, a duffel bag or small suitcase with Disney images, or a backpack that he can put his things in, are you flying or driving, coloring books, etc are always entertainment.
You can't buy disney dollars from disney off the web anymore.... I'm not sure how long or why this service is down (or if its just a temp issue or what the deal is).... The only other place I know to purchase is ebay and I'm scared to spend so much money in disney dollars and we have no way to test the validity until the end of December/ beginning of January.We did this when the boys were small, one year we did disney and another we did universal. I looked for shirts, backpacks etc and then left room for them to pick out something at the parks to remember the trip with. One set of grandparents gave them DIsney dollars for spending which was great, that way they had money of their own to spend with mom's help.
He is aware! We are doing a countdown to Disney :) Santa is all about Disney this year - he claims he already wrote santa a letter and told him that... so at least everyone is on the same page! LOLIs the trip a surprise or is he aware of it. Mine knew they were going and we had a countdown to Disney instead of a countdown to Christmas...We left the day after Christmas since it's only a few hours from here.

so I thought I was the hip cool momma... We do LOTS in our house but I've never heard of this stuff!!! I didn't even know leapster had made an leap pad... if it is capable of playing Angry Birds I'm sure DH will buy it because he is tired of DS5 taking over his iPad!

This year I'm not too terribly excited for black friday or shopping period... Most of what we are buying to go under the tree is the things that'll go to Disney World as we'll be leaving Christmas Day. Does Disney do awesome BF deals? Looking for Mickey/Cars/Toy Story (boys!) stuff... I'm trying to not go overboard and keep our money for spending at Disney... My philosophy is supposed to be (according to DH) if it isn't free, or almost free, I don't want it! sigh.... this is going to be so hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you!!! We are looking for Disney stuff since our BIG deal is we are going to DISNEY WORLD on Christmas Day! This'll be good for the train ride up and the super late flight back on Jan 3rd. I ordered 2 for the boys!

I called my Walmart at 9:30 pm last night and I said "is your Christmas 50% or 75% off", she said 75%, I said "Really? It's 75% off"? She said, yes, what's left. So I quickly drove over there only to find out it was still 50%!!! I was not too happy. Then they found the clerk that answered the phone for me and she said that "I'm sorry that you misunderstood me". NOT! I'm a career shopper and I know what I'm doing and I know what she said. I have a letter ready to send the manager but I'm not sure if I will do it. I usually let that stuff slide but she kept saying that I misunderstood HER and that made me mad!
Don't you hate it when people can't admit they are wrong? Drives me insane.... IMO it woulda been SO MUCH better for her to say oops, it goes live tomorrow at 75% or whatever... but for her to look at you and blatantly lie? Ohhh - the things that make me tick!

oh I love Christmas movies and always buy a ton, after Christmas! My 4 year old wants to watch them all year long! LOL I am still looking for a great deal on the orig (black and white) version of Miracle of 34th street in dvd.

me me me!!!! SO glad to be done.... been done a little bit now. Since December, if I was picking up anything else its because its free, or almost free, not because I need or want it!
Now I just need to wrap so I'm not up all night, like usual, Christmas Eve!

I ordered my 50 photocards last Thursday (12/9) and according to their status, it's "in production". Kind of odd that they would take this long to print cards?
odd... I've ordered from them for years and never had an issue! Have you called them??

that really sucks about everyone not getting their photos... I ordered mine from seehere.com and got them in 2 days.

Let's hope the 2 hours I spent finding photos to upload and then customizing the cards is worth the $5.25 for 60 cards with overnight shipping. And hopefully this isnt too good to be true ... I will be really mad at myself if they are poor quality or worse yet ... never arrive!

if your ordered from the website seehere.com you won't be disappointed! I order from there every year when they do the free or very cheap cards. Great quality and come with envelopes! They look a thousand times better than they do on the computer in person!

Does it have to be any particular cards/designs? I created a "card" then added the code, but it keeps saying "there is no product to apply code to". I changed the quantity to 50, and same thing. Any advice? I just picked a standard "Merry Christmas" under the holiday section.
sometimes this site can be funny... make sure you aren't copying and pasting the code, you have to type it in. Don't know why but i've had issues in the past this way so long as I type the code in myself its always worked.... weird.
