  1. My MIL is difficult to buy for because she is not into fashion, makeup, perfumes, collectibles and cannot travel to go to events because she is a caretaker to her sister. I hate to buy her the same things every year or buy her one of her vices (lotto or smoking, yuck.). I'm thinking about new kitchen items for her, as she does like to cook and bake. DH & I struggle every birthday and Christmas buying for her though.

  2. Does anyone know if Duluth does a BF sale or cyber monday sale? Most of the gifts for my cousin's fiance will be coming from there and I'm wondering if it is better to purchase now or if they have deals on BF/CM. Thanks for any info in advance!

  3. My SS box came in today and all I can say is THANK YOU!!! You really went above and beyond and sent me things that I love. From the Philly Flyers tote, umbrella and earbuds to the Glinda tin sign, it is all amazing!

Here is a photo of most of the gifts in the package. The Glinda sign was already hung on the wall by this time. lol There was also socks included, comfy and classic designs.

I mistakenly thought my package from my OE secret santa was my SS. Makes sense, since that package was mostly ornaments. :giggle:

  4. While most stores are 1am in MA, check with the local store, as local jurisdiction can set the store hours as well. Some Walmart's open at 1, while some open at 4am over the past couple years.

  5. Stockings are always an orange in the bottom, candy (mostly snickers and the mini pb cups since they are a family fav) and a few small items such as cosmetics for the females and if there are tickets or gift cards, they will end up in there so they are not lost in the gift pile under the tree. We do not usually do anything too expensive for stockings, it has always been a sort of bonus gift.

  6. Per signage at the Walmart in Westfield, MA the opening time for MA stores is 1am, while ME opening time is 12am. I would check with local stores, as some cities and towns have specific blue laws that dictate later times.

  7. There used to be an issue with line jumpers at the local Walmart. Those of us in line would let potential jumpers know it was not in their best interest to upset a mob of cold, tired New Englanders. Last year they started using the metal barricades to form the line and blocked the front of the store with them as well. Not sure how it will be this BF with the renovations and now 2 entrances. Police are there are stop attempted jumpers. BB is very organized in this area (Western MA), not many stories of jumpers.

  8. Luckily here in MA there are blue laws. Stores cannot open on Thanksgiving, unless they are a pharmacy I believe. Stores can apply for a permit to open early, but I do not know of any here in Western MA that have been succesful in doing so. So, it's usually 1am openings at the earliest here. Walmart was 4am last BF.

  9. ok quick question has anyone bought the Brave bow and arrow set ? my dd4 wants it this year and it looks like its pretty flimsy and can bend easily ... didnt know if there was another bow and arrow set that might be better looked at the nerf rebelle stuff but looks too big for her just yet . the only places that have the Brave set are target and tru as well.

The arrows break pretty easily on the Brave set.

I have no experience with this set, but it has good reviews http://www.amazon.com/Zing-AH270-Air-Huntress/dp/B00AA0MXAU/ref=sr_1_4?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1382627356&sr=1-4&keywords=bow+and+arrow+girl
