  1. If you do wrap before the Christmas season , make sure to label everything. My boss told me she hide her gifts all through out the year for Birthday and Xmas then when is time to give, she can't remember where she hides them and end up buying replacement gift and then.. .. kaboom... A year later , while cleaning she found them. LOL. Cracks me up... But, then I shouldn't laugh at her. I hide a stach of SOS chocolate and didn't find it until a couple of years later when we are moving.
  2. I heard on the radio station that Toys R US has a Hot Toy List for the Christmas. I posted under the news thread in this forum . Also you can search by on ToysRUs on their News link.

Whoever say Pillow Pet and Sing A Ma Jig were right. Both hit their list... Of course , Mattel would be the one making the Sing A Ma Jig. Told my coworkers if you do get them for your kids , get just one but not two. ( BTW, I still got my pink Furby somewhere. :D )

  3. I'll see about getting one on the BF site one of these days.

    Hi Brad,

I would like to request for a Black Friday,too... I am imagine it to be sort like a snow dome with the Gottadeal logo with in there and a digital clock ? I want one !! In mainwhile I have been searching up and down the internet..There is no one like it.... There is one for Christmas but nothing for BF.

  4. I love Black Friday for several reasons:

    1. For the great many Jump off the building sale price offer by many stores.

    2. For getting a item at a way , way and WAY lower then the normal sale price.

    3. Being the " Santa " to many friends and family members.

    4. The one day all stores , large or small , that would lower their price to beat their compititors to get us spent money in their store... This is not counting what I call the BF snobish store ( the N store. You know the one that has ANNUAL sale twice a year ? ).

    5. And, finally, I love BF because it signal that Christmas is right around the corner... And, it kick off the whole month long of shopping spree for everyone.

  5. That is one of my worst fears. I never carry cash, especially not on BF.

****Friendly reminder: Call up your CC companies and advise you will be shopping on BF to avoid fraud alerts. It happened to me a few years ago.

Oh... That remind me. I was up at about 5am two years ago on BF I bought a Dell laptop ( the one I owned at the time was on its VERY leg ) . Right after that I decide to give the CC a call and tell them that it WAS me who just made a purchase online with Dell.... They told me good thing for me to call since I rarely buy stuff at that time. Should have check my purchase history. On BF, there is always a spike on the purchasing amount. LOL.

  6. I would like to post something ... I do not cook ( burn stuff before ) and love eat dessert ( can't master bread. The kneading.... And can only say I can bake 3 items ). This is one item that almost every single Asian market has . Chinese Egg Tart ( why the Chinese part ? Well.... I only see it in 99 Ranch Market or Asian bakeries ) .. Do NOT worry , even a bake dummy ( I am one ) can bake. The only time consuming part is molding the shell . To get the dough from thick down to thin but not enough for the filling to fallen through. If you want to know what it look like... Go to Foodgawker's site and just type: Chinese Egg Tart .

Ok. here we go. Another thing I want to stress you can find every single items on this list at your local market : Vons / Ralph / Albertson / Target / Walmart.... etc.. :yup:

    Egg Tart

( makes 12 regular muffin size tart or you can get it to the mini muffin for smaller serving size )

    Shell:

    3oz Cream Cheese

    1 stick ( about 8 oz ) butter

    1 Cup all-Purpose Flour

    Filling :

    2 eggs

    1 cup milk

1/2 ( or 1/3 ) cup sugar, depend on personal taste

    Prheat oven at 375 degree

    1. Mix all the ingredients from the shell . Divide the dough to 12 portions. Drop each one into the muffin tin section then press upward and stretch but not quit reaching to the edge . This is where time comsuming part ( atleast for me that is ). Too thick and you got a egg tart with not enough filling and too thick of shell.... etc.

    2. Mix all the ingredient from the filling then pour into each shell. Do not reach all the way to the edge . I would say about 80 - 85% full.

    3. Bake for about 20 min on 375 - 400 degree. To see if is complete done , you can stick a tooth pick into it and if is coming out no sticky filling and clean then is done.

    4. Let it cool so the filling can settle down.

Great dessert to bring to parties and all ingreidents you proably already have it in your pantry.... I hope you like it.... This recipe was from a ex-coworker who know I was really craving for these after moving away from the nearest Asian Bakery... :P

  7. Woot ! Woooooooooooot!! Bring on the first ad !! I got my BF money all ready. And, that is one gift for the people on my list and 4 gifts for moi. LOL..... Last year right after coming home from shopping the whole morning I was thinking , I am not going to do this again . Yet, here I am so ready for the BF .... Money in bank , check. People list, check , ..... Ads ?! Where are the Ads ?!!

Cant you tell me I am SO ready for the BF ? LOL :D

  8. I, too , join the camp for the Ace Hardware and the Harbor Freight . Just a thought, have anyone seen people standing in line and get into fight to get into those 2 stores on BF ? After 6 years living in the city I live in, I finally realized there is Habor Freight store near us. LOL.
  9. I am so glad I found this forum this year. Now, what the heck didn't I found this site years before.... Now, I know I am not alone in crazy over BF.... Are we ... Blackfridaiholic ?? Is there such a term ? I can tell you this.. I am NOT going into a 12 step program to cure my addiction to BF bargains. I will keep on shopping..... Coworkers are already making fun of me. The boss say, Hey you go help the economy , one store at a day. LOL.
  10. Wow,

Starbeck96 and Momof3luvs1 , you surely know how to find great bargain. Doesn't it just bring you the greatest joy to know you not only didn't pay for retail price but at a great BARGAIN price ? I just get fuzzy feeling about it. All my friends / coworkers thinks I am crazy. LOL.

  11. Hi

I am new here to the forum and have been doing BF for about 13 years. None of my female relatives or coworkers are into doing BFing with me and at each of my job , my supervisor knows come the Friday after Thankgiving , I won't be at work. :)

So , my question is.. What was the greatest BF item you have ? To qualify , there would have to be a huge price difference between the regular retail price and the BF price...

I am a cashmere loving person , so my would have to be the 2 for $100 at Robinson-May Company...
