I am agree, I spend all day on here waiting on an ad....and I get NOTHING!!!! It is almost 3 weeks til BF and we haven't seen anything yet! It is crazy!!!!!

I am so tired of waiting! I want some ads to start coming! It's NOVEMBER!!

The first year the elf arrived he showed up with a note from Santa. The note said "Eli" the magical elf was sent by Santa to watch over her and make sure she was being good. You can probably do an online search, it is kind of along the lines of the Elf on a Shelf, but I picked up an Elf stuffed animal at a local craft fair and made up my own ideas. In the note, it stated that Eli might cause some trouble and mischief just to make it more fun. Eli shows up different places every year, the first time he came he was left on her bed to find when she came home from school, one year he showed up at our town parade and last year he showed up at a Christmas play we went to. Every year he comes with a note from Santa talking about how much fun he had the year before and how he couldn't wait to come back and spend time with her. He usually is delivered somewhere around the 10 - 12 of December just because it is hard to keep coming up with things for him to get into. And we leave him in her stocking for Santa to take back with him on Christmas Eve. He doesn't usually leave presents but that is a good idea!

Thanks those are all great ideas that we haven't done! After a while my mind goes blank and I can't think of new good things to do!

I am ready! I can't wait for the ads either. I haven't ever done the midnight thing, last year my husband was nice enough to go to Toys R Us at midnight for me, but I don't think I will ever talk him into that again! So I guess if they have something I need I will go then come home and sleep for a few hours before heading back out?!

I started the tradition of the mischivous elf with my daughter a few years ago and every year we try to find fun things to do with it. Every night when she goes to bed he messes up something in the house. One year he hung all of her panties on the christmas tree, he's made messes in the kitchen, swung from the fan. Needless to say we are running out of ideas. What are some of the things your elves do? Also I am taking her to NYC the 2nd weekend in December and I would love for the elf to show up there for her but I need ideas of where he should appear.

I can't wait to start watching with my daughter!

I always take $1,000 every year but I don't always spend it all. I just like to know I have enough if I do find something. Also we spend a lot more on stockings, it's the best part to me. But I only have to do my daughter, husband and mother.

I saw that Old Navy was going to have $5 Performance Fleece Vests for the family this Saturday as their secret Saturday sale. Anyone heard anything? I looked online and couldn't find any to see what they looked like.
