  1. I believe I paid $6 and $8 for the matchbox sets (police headquarters, city service station & sky busters aircraft carrier) & $4.00 for the Tinkerbell fairy toys. I did not purchase any of the v-tech toys but know the prices varied. HTH :)
  2. Sorry that you had no luck at Kmart. I was hoping you would...but the Nerf bargain sounds great!! Oh, and to answer your previous question, I am in MA. Maybe your Target will come through!!
  3. Just wanted to share that I too have had little luck with Legos in my area. Many times everything I scan (that others are finding for tremendous deals) comes up full price. I've been wondering if this has anything to do with location. Are Target and Lego in cahoots? I live less than an hr from Lego headquarters and subsequently the Target's I tend to visit are within that same distance. I rarely find any discount on legos, let alone 75% off. I definitely appears that some items are regional, sadly But on another note, K-Mart had many lego sets on clearance that weren't even marked at the store I visited today. I quickly figured out that anything with a shelf tag ending in .00 was on clearance (about 60% off of retail or less). Was able to get several Star Wars sets, Atlantis, Kingdoms, etc. Might want to check it out if you have a store in your area :)
  4. Great deals on Lego sets today. Picked up Stars Wars starfighter (8088), two Atlantis sets, Duplo beginners set and a Kingdoms prison tower set. I found that most did not have clearance stickers, but it seemed that anything with a shelf tag ending in .00 was clearance. This rule seemed to apply throughout the toy section where I found other great deals on Matchbox sets, Disney Tinkerbell fairies and V-tech toys. I would say 75% were not marked. Not sure the total percentage off in savings but thinking it was close to the 75% deals I found at Target.
  5. Stopped by after work today and found the signs were still at 75% off. Scanned a few things, and sure enough 90% off. Woohoo!! Grabbed a few rolls of wrapping paper (really picked over), some gift bags, a couple of tree skirts, and some shirt boxes. Best find was a set of two potted entryway trees for $6.99! They also had trees, which I didn't drag over to the scanner but was told they were still 75% off. I asked the customer service associate to double check and she was kind enough to write down the sku and punch it in the register manually. Sure enough, $15.99! Fantastic deal for anyone looking for a 6.5 ft tree. What I have come to learn, when in doubt scan, scan away!!
  6. Great deal at Target this week...buy 2 get 1. I find it difficult to rationalize spending $50 per game, but when I get three new games for $100 I feel like I did pretty good. I believe this deal applies to all Wii games at any price point.
  7. I picked up a boy's bmx bike on clearance sometime in January or February. It was around the same time sleds & gloves/mittens went 75%. They also had several men's and women's style cruiser bikes on clearance at that time.
  8. Was in Natick, MA last evening and stopped at Target. Noticed a few items marked 30% and backpacks at 50%. I would say the majority of MA schools started last week or will start tomorrow. They were clearing aisles and setting up for Halloween while we were shopping. Best find was inkadinkado clear stamps on clearance for $2.24 (org. $8.99)--all other clearance scrapbooking supplies were still ringing 30% off.
  9. It definitely varies from store to store in my area too. A few weeks back, I stopped at a newer Target store that I had never been to before and found an end cap of ice cream makers and ice tea makers which had already gone 90% off at other stores. The associates I spoke to said they would sell it to me at full price even though it was ringing INF. Obviously I passed. I grabbed the gift bags at another store that I had never been to before and I think I just happened to get the "right" associate. In fact, I checked with the associate in customer service and she told me that the price was $1.00. I only had a few in my cart and thought I would take my chances at the register. The associate punched them in manually at 10 cents. Needless to say, I went back for a stack more. She seemed as excited about my bargain as I was.
  10. Was lucky to get some really cute gift bags from the dollar spot (yellow dot) for 10 cents each last night at the store in Wareham, MA. Came up INF, but the cashier said that this store always sells salvaged items for the last price sold.
  11. I am sorry that you had no luck with the patio furniture:(. Maybe you will find some at home? I was excited to find this particular table because it didn't have a glass top. It was a gift for my aunt and she didn't want a glass top table after the wind took her table off the deck last summer (she is still finding shards of glass). However, the downside is that it doesn't have a cutout for an umbrella. I love that you hit all the Targets along the way on your vacation--now, that is my idea of a vacation!! I always try to hit them along the way on my drive to Cape Cod (when traveling sans hubby and dog).
  12. Scored a great deal on patio furniture last night (Thursday). The table was originally $249 and I picked it up for $31.14. Matching chairs, in pairs of two for $27.34. I went in planning to pay almost twice that, having passed on it the night before because it wouldn't fit in my vehicle. Also grabbed Wham-o Frisbee Disc Field Goal, came up INF but associate told me that they would sell it to me for $2.48. Overall, some great deals!!
  13. I too waited weeks for an activation email and finally registered using a different email address. I am excited to finally be able to post, rather than just stalk! Anyhow, wondering if anyone noticed further markdowns on the Brother sewing machine (I think it was 30% off last week). Thanks in advance!
