  1. I Picked up a DC23 Motorhead (canister) from Sears.com for $399.99 ($699.99 at Kohls, which is funny because list is $599.99) http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_02094251000P?keyword=02094251000&sLevel=0&prop17=02094251000
  2. I wish the work-around worked for everyone. Whether the order I made gets reversed or not--we'll wait and see. I mostly doubt that it will as these things are all handled in an automated manner, and it would take some special request from Best Buy to have their IT department run a query for those orders. Probably not worth the headache really. Mostly I would guess the rep. told you that to give the appearance that everyone should be treated fairly, when in fact I would think they have no clue what you were talking about. $5 says the rep. got off the phone and asked the guy next to him what an android was.
  3. Just got the ad at the door, figured others might want to think about checking it out. It's online here: http://www.heb.com/page/black-friday-deals Examples of the Friday deals: Nintendo Wii (White or Black) with Wii motion plus & Sports Resort $149 8GB iPod Touch $149 Nintendo DS LITE $90 (4 colors to pick from) Sony Playstation 3 Console (120GB) $199 Microsoft Office 2010 Home & Student $99 Watch the Nintendo DS LITE deal, as the next day, Saturday, the DSi will be $110, which IMHO is a better deal for an extra $20.
  4. Even though Android is much better than the iWishiWasAPhone, I don't think we want to start that war here (haha)
  5. That sucks. I wonder why that would be? My Samsung Galaxy S is using droid 2.1... Maybe it has something to do with that which might govern the version of the App you get? I wouldn't really know. It's just a guess
  6. I would guess around 2 to 3 am depending on the size of the market you live in. Our paper-delivery person drops ours in the driveway around that time each morning.---- Don't ask me how I know this :-)
  7. In the Android market, search "pname:com.bestbuy.android", or text "APP" to 332211 to get a link. Inside the app, search "1051213" for the nook, and it should come up with the item. Click the item, and you should see the "Add to Cart" button
  8. The first time I checked I searched, it added it to the cart, but then removed it when I went to check out. It worked the second time through. Maybe I was lucky. Maybe its an Android thing? I hope it works for others.
  9. Here's a trick that might work if you see "Coming Soon" when you look to buy some of the doorbusters.... I just completed a purchase and received the order confirmation email for a new Nook at $99.99 because I used the Best Buy Android App to find the item and place the order. I guess the Web site, and the phone app don't really use the same code to watch what time it is. :-)

  11. why should they bother... It generates more press time for them. If Walmart's ad is out sooner, it might just get more people in line at Walmart... I can see the downside though. Some BestBuy honcho could now be reading the Walmart ad and planning a counter-strike (so-to-speak) Either way I bet Walmart uses a different printer next year for the ads where it was leaked. (Since they identify the local ad printer by small text in the sides of the ad)
