  1. Negative. That one's In Store Only Doorbuster.
  2. I think that would surprise me if they did because you'd be taking their inventory. It would be just like going to the store on Monday and buying things in the BF ad for the BF prices... seems strange to me.
  3. That's Fri-Sun (11/20-11/22); not applicable for the BF sale starting midnight on 11/22. 20% code: TIME4FF
  4. Yes. I'm equally as offended. It's excitement to get such great deal on items....even for non low income, married fathers. I'd rather get a good deal on things (even though I can still afford retail) and then I can take that extra money and use to donate to deserving charities rather than pouring it our my my pocket to the over-priced retailers.
  5. Very hard to believe it'll be lightning. The article made it seem like it'd be a DOTD or just price drop.
  6. Items start switching to the sale price on Wednesday night around midnight Eastern Time, but will slowly change over 1 item at a time. Keep tuned to the online subforum for Best Buy here. And also the Online Tracker.
  7. Buy from Amazon and then cancel from WM. Usually this quickly, it's a trivial cancellation.
  8. I really like pcpartpicker dot com. This is a good place to ensure that the parts you build are compatible with one another (if you're not just buying an unassembled, pre-determined package/kit), helps you choose the right wattage power supply, and I think has price trends on the items at various retailers.
  9. Whining should count as triple entries...
  10. It's up. It's a separate sub-forum in the Black Friday forum. Link
  11. There's MANY early bird doorbusters in the ad; and most of those will be online. Yes. Unfortunately, I do think the PS4 will be in the list of not online....but tough to tell; Just be ready on Sunday night. You'll know by Monday morning if you'll need to be lining up at Kohls on Thursday.
  12. Worked in the app (rotating the phone in landscape because there's no zooming and reading in portrait orientation would take a 3x magnifying glass).

Check your local store map (on the app or website where you find the weekly ad). It looks like that will be lumped in with "Electronics Items" and I'm sure it will be on a display of some sort, but a manager would know details about their specific store.
  14. Bri, your best bet would be to go to blackfridaycharts.com, select 'Video Game Systems', sort by the 'System' column, and scroll down to the PS4s. This will show you all the retailers selling the system and you can see ones with the GC in the 'Misc' column. Don't forget there's also Kohl's Cash & Yes2You rewards at Kohl's and BB rewards point at Best Buy (among other rewards programs at various places). If some details are missing, at the very least you can see the retailers selling it and check out the item in their ad scans.
  15. I see it on my Amazon App on Android. I go to 'Today's Deals' and gives me 3 Tabs across the top: "RIGHT NOW" "UPCOMING" "WATCHING" And yes, it reminds you of deals that you mark as "watch" and keeps them in a filtered list so you yourself can check on the start times (because it only reminds you when the deal starts, and as we all know some deals sell out in 15 seconds).
  16. With Amazon in full force on Friday, and Kohl's Sunday night, and a few undetermined "special event" "members-only" pre-sales (Sears, TRU, etc.) we're really only ~ 3 days away. You can't really have the countdown to BF anymore because the majority really happens 24+ hours before Friday even hits. I'd be curious what the breakdown is between: Online sales before noon ThursdayThursday sales in-storeFriday sales in-store (there was a time this was probably 80%)Saturday/Sunday salesI'll exclude Cyber Monday from the equation because I think that's a different sale that's most a % off + free shipping, etc.I'd have to imagine online sales before Thu is the most $$, but those big doorbusters keep it looking like Thursday does the largest amount. Still, I'd imagine 80%+ is done before Friday even arrives. Maybe I can start a thread and see what the GottaDeal community breakdown ends up being percentage-wise. I wonder if that's just the math nerd in me or if other people would be interested too I'll try to get something on here for next Saturday, so stay tuned if you're interested as well. And if you're still even reading and have any suggestions for the poll, go ahead and send me a PM, or post here (in fear of getting this thread off topic - though....this seems like a pretty broad topic, anyway ).
  17. I've been using the 'Watching' tab for a better part of this week and actually seems to be working well. It keeps the ones I care about organized. There have been times over the past year that it's come and gone and really wasn't reliable or very helpful. Maybe this BF will be useful! Here's hoping. Sifting through 1000 deals every hour is a daunting task.
  18. Today: Makedo Find & Make Space Pod http://cartwheel.target.com/o/makedo-find-_n_amp-make-space-pod/-/52210
  19. Kohl's is definitely one of the more organized stores (IMO) than many others and the lime does move quickly and associates are helpful (thank you). However, with 10 checkout registers and each transaction averaging 2 minutes (that's probably generous - some people have cart loads), then getting in line 30 minutes after opening there are easily 200+ people in front of you to check out. It'll still take you 40 minutes to get to a register. It's sheer volume, not disorganization and incompetence.
  20. If you can possibly manage it, I would 100% recommend trying to get everything online Sunday night after midnight when their online sale starts. Shopping from your couch... * the lines are shorter * the weather is nicer * the physical shopping cart is much smaller and easier to manage * it's way easier to open up a new tab for new items than it is running across the store through a sea of 2000 of your closest friends * About 80% of the time you'll get your items on or before Black Friday anyway.
  21. Even in this case? Hmmmm. Alright, my bad. Then you want a $10.00 item(s)
  22. Woot! The key is buying everything online and then finding that $11.99 item(s) that gets 15% off down to $10.19, use your $10 off coupon and pay ~ 21 cents for it. (Of course you'll go 3+ hours after they open for the crowd to slow down again, and you can't pick the high demand doorbuster or color/pattern-specific item) Edit: I've been corrected that the $10 off coupon applies before the % off code here.
  23. It essentially IS a gift card. The nuances would include: The amount you receive is calculated BEFORE tax/shipping on your orderYou MUST use what you redeem 11/30-12/6It is applied BEFORE any additional coupons/codes (almost always there's at least a 15% off or $10 off $50 or minimum for free shipping) that you use on the subsequent order in which you're redeeming the KC (i.e. gift card) so that will get you less of a discount with your % off, or may put you below the threshold for an additional code. None of these are major deal breakers, but things you'll often run into when dealing with KC. Anyone else can chime in if I missed anything.
  24. Ummm.... really? That doesn't seem like much of deal; paying $2 more. I'd just wait until Saturday when it goes back down to $12.99. People aren't allowed to complain about the ads this year; even if the prices aren't as low as you'd want them to be, at least they are lower than the regular price... http://i.imgur.com/qCmAkxv.jpg Edit: Okay, whew. It's just a misprint; Regular price is $29.99 here. lol
