  1. We have BF as a paid 'holiday' - I think my university switches it with Veterans Day or another state holiday.

But, since it's a private university, they can pretty much do what they want. It's nice because the week leading up to Christmas and the week leading up to NYE the entire campus closes at 3pm so we have 2 hours paid off for those days.

My university does it with Columbus Day so I get off and paid

  2. Not really impressed.  I saw a few things for me such as the mixing bowl set, plastic containers, and a few other kitchen items.  The only thing I really saw for my daughter was board games. I didn't see any Barbie stuff or My Life stuff on sale.  I think I am going to try to catch what I need from Walmart online this year.

I was looking for Barbie and My Life stuff too. Also an easy bake oven. I too will just be online shopping unless I feel like going out later on Friday.

  3. Just got back from Toys R Us. Headed over there at midnight and the line was around the store through the parking lot. Took about 45 mins to get into the store, once it there it was CRAZY I couldn't find anything and most things were all gone. Thankfully they kept coming out with more stock, got most of my items. The lineup was CRAZY to check out, winding in and out of isles, it was a good 3hrs in line to check out. I almost didn't bother because I wanted to get home to get to the walmart sale, good thing I stayed because the walmart sale online is a disappointment, nothing I want is being sold online or else its sold out :(

I got: 2 Playdoh Playsets, Science Kit, iDog Mini, Crayola Tub of stuff ( I forget what it's called it ws $9.99) and the Pony Animagic (not on sale). They were all out of the iCarly video game accessories I wanted to get my daughter.

You wouldn't happen to have been in Toledo were you? I didn't even go when I saw the line there. Most that I want there is 2 days so I will go tomorrow. Went to Target and iwas in line for an hour and a half just to check out. Waited an hour at Kohls.

We went to Old Navy and it was packed. I got a few fleeces and a vest jacket.

Kohls: A bunch of toys, 80s scene it movie, some Isotoner leather gloves.

Target: The 30.00 rocking gamer chair, Friday Night Lights, He is Just Not that into you, Ghosts of Girlfriends past, Armor all gift pack, and a few other small things. My camera was gone :( since Kohls took longer than expected.

I may venture back out, but I haven't decided yet.

  4. We ended up spending more and getting the LCD. He plays video games and we play a lot of movies and we were told multiple times not to get a plasma if we plan do to those types of things a lot because of burn in.

Plus our LCD looks beautiful. We got a Sanyo at Walmart for 1148.

  5. Well, you could pick up some BD movies while your there, lol. Seriously though, it isn't a doobuster, so that may be possible. If not, I'd imagine that they will have stacks of these, so you might be able to get there after the line goes down.

Good idea and thinking. I will go there afterward Target and Walmart.

  6. I think its funny because they had The 25 Days of Christmas with Christmas movies, but now they have The Countdown to The 25 Days of Christmas with (mostly) Christmas movies. But hey, I'm not complaining! They could have a countdown to the countdown to the 25 days of Christmas and I'd watch it!

So far I've watched Snow and Snowglobe, and Snow 2 and Santa Jr. are on my DVR waiting for me! I'd never seen Snow before and thought it was pretty cute. DS3 has been running around the house practicing his flying all morning.

And although this isn't on ABCFamily, everyone remember to watch Merry Madagascar on NBC this Tuesday the 17th at 8 E/P! Its kind of embarassing how much I'm looking forward to that one!

I am looking forward to that one too. I am going to Walmart on Wednesday to buy it too.

  7. I have one gift bought and delivered to me.

I have a list of stuff I want to by for people, but a few are movies and those types of things that will be cheaper on BF. My shopping usually starts with BF anyways.

So how much have you done?

Anything you are really excited to give?

How much more do you have to do?

  8. :)

I actually *like* to wrap gifts... I'm just terrible at it! Its kind of like when a 2 year old gets ahold of fingerpaints and spends hours painting a picture. When its done, its technically a mess, but they had a whole lot of fun doing it. That's me, a 2 year old with fingerpaints.

Once, I actually tied my own hair into the ribbon and DH had to remove the present from my head... :o

I am the same way. I love to wrap, but they don't look as pretty as they should. Last year I spent 2 days wrapping.

I bought some of the $1 Target wrapping paper. Last year I bought my Baby sister Dora christmas paper at the dollar store so I will be back there looking. I usually get it on Black Friday when the stores have them on sale and new shipments.
