I live in a fairly rural area and last year WalMart opened at 6am and I got there around 5:30am. I was about halfway down the parking lot and I got all what I was looking for. This year I will be there very early! Laptop, and Cabbage Patch Newborns await!

I like how they do decorate the cans and bottles....but I don't collect them....

Thusday was the first day that I saw my first Christmas Commerical on TV! So it is coming! All the Halloween stuff is marked down and the Christmas stuff is piling in!

I live in Northern Illinois.....and it is hit and miss each year on weather or not we have a White Christmas. I remember we had a big snow storm in early December 2000, so we had a White Christmas that year. Then I think in 2002 we had snow on Chrismas Eve...but the last few have been "Green" Christmas's. As for this year? Who knows. It has been so warm here....it was 74 on Thursday! And today is in the 60's. So my bets are no snow for Christmas this year. I do remember as a kid it did snow heavy on Thanksgiving one year. 1982? 1983??? Somewhere in there.... I always like to have snow on Christmas. Makes it feel more like a hoilday...and it gets you right into the spirit!

I have boxes of Dept 56 "A Chirstmas Carol" series village set. I haven't put them out in 5 years. We have cats...who I love dearly but they will knock them down and break them if I put them out. I haven't seen the "A Christmas Story" ones yet.....

Not yet..... However, every Thanksgiving night I watch "Home for the Holidays" with Holly Hunter. I may watch it this weekend. I am itching for some holiday shows now. Yesterday, I brought my daugher "Santa Claus" the movie on DVD. So I am aching to see that now:)
