  1. if you have a kohls charge they occasionally have kcups on sale at the same time they have kohls cash and 30% off with a kohls charge, my latest order the 18 pack boxes were about 8.40 a piece, which is as cheap as ive seen them in a long time.. when i run out in between those sales, i use amazon.. enjoy your new keurig!! my husband loves his, even tho the k cups are an expensive habit lol..

    I always order from Kohl's when they are on sale during the 30% off and can get free shipping. They have a great selection and I don't have to leave my house!

  2. they are really wanting it for christmas, but we may wait. Their bday is Mar 5 so we could give it to them for their bday. It really depends on what kind of sales i can find.

    I found a tent that sleeps 7 or 8 and is a 2 bedroom on Walmart.com. It is an Ozark Trail and comes with Coleman queen air bed and 2 sleeping bags. Does this sound like a good deal?

    I would stay away from Ozark Trail brand stuff at WM. My son got one of their sleeping bags as a gift and the zipper broke the second time he used it, and the seams started to fray almost immediately. We camp a lot and have a ton of equipment. We have found really great deals at Target during the winter clearance. Maybe you can get some basics to start with as the Christmas gift and then try to get some additional items in late Jan-Feb. Also I highly recommend an air mattress for at least the adults!

  3. I have a question for those that have a kohls BM store, ours just opened today and I took in my mailer with the 30% code, the person who was training the register person told him to take the sticker off the flyer and keep it, is that normal? So you can only use the flyer code only once?

    No, that is not normal. Usually the coupons are good for the entire sale period and it is marked on the coupon itself. Maybe because this was in celebration of the store opening it was one time use but that seems unlikely.

  4. I found summer stuff 75% off today and got a bunch of stuff. There was still quite a bit left at around 4:30pm. I got:

    Metal table caddy (for silverware, napkins, plates) = $2.49

    Drink stirrers = $.50

    Large flexible frisbee = $1.24

    2 different paddle sets = $1.24 each

    Waterballs = $1.32

    Hula hoops = $1.14

    Silly putty = $.50

    Some other foam type balls for $.74

    There was tons of tableware, dish sets, pitchers, etc. but I told myself not to overspend just because it was 75%. It was all tempting, but for once I showed restraint!

  5. I hit one KM yesterday and got a few Polly Pocket designables sets for $4.50 and then the 10pk Littlest Pet Shop with zippered case for $9. All of the clearance stuff was out on rolling carts in the middle of the aisle. I checked some items in the regular aisle but nothing else was clearanced. No Legos at my store unfortunately.
  6. Sorry for all of the questions but I really need some help with these phones. I went to Tracfones website to try to find out if there is a $1.00 per day fee (if phone is used) but I can't find anything. I did see something about a fee per minute card you buy based on the minutes on the card.

    I thought these were supposed to be "easy" to understand but it looks as though there is a lot of small print and conditions. I haven't received my phone yet but I am wondering if it is worth the trouble.

    Can someone help me understand these a little better? At least with my high priced Verizon phones I don't have to worry about the phone expiring or being charged extra fees.

    Thanks for the help!

    Our experience has been all positive. There are absolutely no hidden fees. You pay as you go, and you decide on how much at a time. After the expense of the phone, all you pay for is the minutes. We love it for the fact that we aren't locked into a contract. We have also had really good reception and have been in places where others were not getting service but Tracfone did!

  7. So, when you buy minutes they are only good for 90 days and the one year card keeps your phone active for a year plus you get 400 bonus minutes? Am I understanding this right? Are the 400 bonus minutes eligible for doubling?

    Thanks!

    I don't think the minutes expire after 90 days as long as you keep the service going. In other words, as long as you add more minutes before the term date on the service, you will automatically keep a rolling balance. The shorter term airtimes are referred to as "pay as you go", so you basically keep extending the term on your phone every 90 days. How many minutes you pay for (to go along with the 90 day service) will depend on your usage. We usually buy 200 minutes at a time and get 400 for that same price. This is a great option for those not wanting to lock into anything long-term.

    I just took a quick look and it does appear the one year plan includes 365 days of service as well as 400 minutes which will be doubled. As PP said, you should mention when you call to activate that you are getting double minutes for the life of your phone service.

  8. I ordered one of these last night. I figured for the price I can always use it. Does anyone know what the Tracfone one year airtime card is? The description says:

    * Adds 400 minutes and 365 days of service

    * Nationwide network coverage

    * Minutes accumulate with active service

    It says "Adds one year of service to end date". What does "end date" mean and why would anyone pay $99 for this when they can get the 200 min card for $39.99 and would end up with 400 min?

    Thanks!

    A regular purchase of minutes comes with 90 days of service. As long as you are on top of it and use the phone with some regularity it shouldn't be a problem. But if you were buying this for emergencies only and don't use it much, you might lose track of end (term) date. I believe phone service on your phone will terminate on the end date, if you don't have any activity and you don't "re-up" with minutes purchase. So for some, it might just be convenience and peace of mind to know that they have a full year of service and they don't have to do anything. They wouldn't have to keep track of when the terms expire. I hope that makes sense.

  9. Just curious if it is only here or if other areas of the country are also seeing fairly bare shelves already. Things still looked good even a couple of days ago for after Christmas shopping, but I stopped by today and both of my closest stores are looking pretty shabby. One store has already started consolidating Christmas and moved mini-seasonal to the area with the wrap and decorations. They have started stocking storage stuff up there. They are filling a whole aisle of Christmas with toys because they don't have other seasonal merchandise. The trees are completely gone at both stores. A tiny section of lights, maybe 3 feet wide and all Phillips. Not much in toys, either. It is really dismal. I don't have high hopes for either the after Christmas nor the toy clearance. Maybe there will be more coming, but all the news reports say otherwise. Stores stocked pretty lean this year to avoid leftovers. I guess it might have worked.

    I was in a Target yesterday and had the exact same thoughts. They were consolidating Christmas and there were so many bare shelves. A two-sided aisle in toys had the big ride-ons and Handy Manny tool benches filling the space. The dollar spot was also completely wiped out! I don't think clearance will be anything near what it has been, but in my case, that is probably a good thing as I have way too much already.

  10. Hmm... I wonder if mine and Juanadeal's stores are the "rule" or the "exception" as far as previous years go. I know that last year, there were 4 WMs that I went to within a week or so after BF that had BF prices or had marked down the items further. One that is 20 minutes from my house, one that is 45 minutes, and 2 that are about 75 minutes away, so they aren't under the same management or anything. Like most things with WM, I'm sure its a YMMV.

    Most of the stuff that I would be interested in sold out early BF anyway... like the $2 DVDs. I only found 2 and I was there at 5:15am.

    I really only shop toys at WM but the two stores that I frequent in my area have kept prices the same as BF. Last year one of the stores lowered prices on some things the Monday after BF. I keep checking back this year but so far, they haven't lowered prices on anything, but they haven't raised them either. Stuff is slowly moving and it seems they are in no hurry to get rid of it. Maybe they don't need the shelf space :g_shrug:

  11. I was just coming to post the same thing. My WM had 90% off Halloween as well. I picked up some more costumes for dress-up. The cashiers were complaining to each other about what a nightmare this Halloween clearance is. I don't know why because everything rang up correctly. The one cashier told the other one that this is the last day, and they are going to pack it up and "get it outta here!"
