  1. Summer clearance was at 50% here today, only thing I bought was the Yonanas dessert maker which I have really been wanting all summer for the kids. Snce they only had 2 I didn't want to wait until 70%. It did ring up full price but there were 50% signs everywhere so they honored it without any major argument.

Going to head back tomorrow to look at what gets marked down in toys, this store has just about 1 or 2 of all the different Lalaloospy toys that are clearanced (playhouse, travel playhouse, carousel, and bus) will have to buy them at 50% if they go to that tomorrow. My girl would LOVE them for Christmas.

  2. Any news on the Brandon or Sarasota target's?? I'm planning on heading to them tomorrow..just don't know if I should go north or south to target?!

I was at the target on University and the one on Fruitville in Sarasota and nothing changed but them moving things around when I was there. I'll be heading out right away tomorrow because I want the Imaginext stuff they have on sale. If you want to pm me your cell I can text you what I see at the Fruitville store since that's where I will start in the morning. I have a few friends that I'm texting when I get there so I can add you to the list if you want.

  3. I had my 5 year old with me who really wanted those and was tearing up over it. I tried to sweet talk the guy out of one, but he just walked the other way. Not cool at all!

I felt so bad for your little boy that I scored a second Star Wars set today just in case you wanted it! My son already opened his up and they are divided into 3 smaller boxes of 3 figures, it would cost a bit to ship and would have to be done in the 3 boxes instead of the long one but if you want it I can find out how much it would be. If not no big deal just grabbed it in case for you.

  4. woo hoo! Got one of the giant waterslides 75% off this morning!

    ###waterslide 091110166 $137.48

Me too! So excited for this, they jumped from 30% off to 75% so I was shocked to find that gem this morning. Since we are in FL we still have lots of outdoor time left before it gets to cold to use.

Someone mentioned the margarita machine, I haven't seen them on clearance around here anyone else? I'm assuming it's a Margaritaville one, would love it to go with the Margaritaville tailgater grill (marked down to $150!) I just got at HomeGoods the other day for football season.

  5. Found a few things in baby 75% off, got the Tiddlewinks mod sport bumper set for $17.xx, a bottle drying rack for $3.xx, and a boppy slipcover for $3.74. Other then that most was still at 50%at the 1st store I was at. The 2nd store I hit I couldn't find anything other then the 2 pack Gerber sleepers and tons of the Graco travel systems at 50%. No idea where everything went to, it was 8:45 in the morning! I was there at 6pm on Friday so I know they didn't markdown on Friday and they had lots of stuff but this morning just empty shelves. Not even the random thing at 30% or 50%, it was just all gone. I asked a sales associate and she just said it must of all just sold already or something. So disappointed, there was a couple of things I wanted there like the steam sterilizer and extra sheets. The 3rd store I hit looked like it went on Friday, most was picked over and odds and ends left. Of course the Eddie Bauer bassinet I have stalking is stilll at 30% after 4 weeks so skipped on that.

In toys I found a couple of good returns, the Circo Train Table for $21.xx (got one last year at 75% off and wanted an extra one for upstairs for his Imaginext toys) and a Smart Cycle Bob the Builder game (only one I didn't find earlier on clearance). Made up for the lackluster baby 75% off stuff today.

  6. If you missed out on most of the toys at 75% off take a look at Kohls right now. Today I found a few items that were cheaper then what I bought at Target. Not a large selection but most of the VTech toys were 70% off and using the $5 coupon you get for signing up for their email list I was able to get the Vtech Move and Crawl Ball for $.42, Vtech Light Up Learning Camera for $.42, and the Baby Alive Real Suprises with bonus food and diapers for $12.00 (reg $55 I think). Each seperate transactions and used 1 $5 coupon on each. Now I can return over $24 worth of stuff to Target.

    Hope that helps.

  7. Just curious - do you all buy these toys at clearance to save for next xmas, to give away as birthday gifts, resell, all of the above??? No judging, I just want to know. :-) Even if at the low price my husband would freak if I broughtall that stuff home ;-) I also have nowhere to store it.... :-(

My son is 2 and last year we went to 11 birthday parties so most of what I buy is for his birthday, Christmas, and for his friends birthday parties. Heck he isn't even in daycare that's just his friends from playgroup and our neighborhood. We are expecting #2 in June so I did buy lots of toys for Christmas gifts for the baby too. I also have 4 nieces and nephews under 10 that I still buy present for (over 10 we don't do it anymore, I have an additional 7 above 10 and you have to cut it off somewhere. That's what happens when you are the youngest of 6 siblings, they all have kids and pretty soon you have a large group to buy for.) I spent a bit over $500 and none of it is for resale. If I can find $30-$40 toys that I can get at 75% off I am happy to give them as gifts and not feel like a cheapskate at a party when they open it! Most of our friends spend in that range for a gift and I always want to give a gift that would have cost similar at full price.

Last year I did buy some to resell but the selection was larger and there were more of each item so I didn't mind buy 2 of some things and selling 1 on Craiglist to offset the cost of the one I was keeping. I spent around $1000 last year and sold $200 worth (bought at 75% off and sold them at 50% off retail) made $200 on the ones I sold so I ended up paying $600 for $3200 worth of toys. What I still had in my toy closet before Christmas that I wasn't going to use I donated to Toys for Tots.

  8. My 75% of purchases below. Between yesterday and today I spent $500 but some might go back, I always grab anything I think I might want and decide later if I will keep it or offer it to friends to buy before returning it. One complaint, I had a heaping cart, an additional 4 bags, plus a kitchen and my 2 year old and asked if I could get assistance out and was told she didn't think so since no one was available. Luckily the women behind me was nice enough to put a few of my bags in her car and I pushed the cart and held on to my son (no room in the cart) and left. I was pissed! I saw plenty of employees shopping the toys and working around the store, you couldn't pull one for 5 minutes to help me to my car?

  9. Has anyone (whose stores actually went to 75%) seen the Circo train table at 75% off? It's at 50% at all my stores....

Oh and I am new to this board too! I am in the SF Bay Area (CA) and we are at 30-50 here still :)

    Melissa

Our stores were out of the train table well before Christmas but I did score one last year at 75% off. In fact that's what Santa gave DS this year complete with tons of Thomas the Train stuff that I had been buying up at Michael's for 75% off when they discontinued carrying it. So my rambling story means that they should go 75% off when the other toys do unless they throw a curveball at you. :)

  10. Ok my 75% off finds for today.

Buzz Lighyear Ultimate Robot $32, don't have ## for my friend grabbed it for me at another Target as we were doing the buddy system on clearance. We were on the phone the whole time checking each others lists and I got her several things she couldn't find at the store she was at but most were duplicates of what I got. Definitely saved time!

Did find a few things that stayed 50% off like the Giddy Up and Go Pony and the 3 in 1 Tricycle.

Total Spent was $203 on the dot so $800 worth of stuff! Tomorrow I plan on hitting another Target that still has a lot of great stuff left that will hopefully go 75% off in the morning. Still have all of my DS's playgroup friends that are girls to buy birthday presents for and they have a better clearance selection of stuff then the store I was at today.

  11. Spoke to one of the price change team today and she confirmed what someone else reported that it looks like they will be marking toys on Friday. We chatted and I commented that they were trying to keep us on our toes. She said "yeah, they've been moving all the departments around a lot lately." She meant in terms of markdown. So, they seem to be, at minimum, experimenting with changing up the day of the week that they are doing them. So, though I'll be there tomorrow morning because I always am, it looks like Friday morning.

I'd say it's one of those things where it could be either day for most of us. The price change team member (well 2 because I was talking to both of them) I talked to told me tomorrow. I will be there bright and early again tomorrow and hope she is right.

  12. Still 30%-50% off here too, hit 2 stores my friend hit the other 2. Markdown lady at my closest store was nice enough to scan a few items to check if they were in the system yet but nope. She said they had been told that they would be doing toys on Thursday this week, of course she didn't know what the markdowns would be just that they will be working in that department right away tomorrow morning so it's done before opening.

Did score a few great deals in Kitchen that I was happy about. Super excited about the Calphalon Set, my babysitter is getting married in March and had registered for a cheap set so I'm happy I can get her a much better set for less money.

#070070400 Kitchen Essentials from Calphalon Stainless Steel 9 Piece Set $49.98 75% off

    #070053920 6PC Bowl Set $5.37 75% off

    #070054541 Grater Corn Stripper $2.24 75% off

  13. Can anyone name any of the toys that are being marked down right now? Our nearest Target is over an hour away, so I don't get there very often (especially with all the snow!)

I would really appreciate your help! Need to decide if I need to plan a trip on Thursday morning!

Here is my list of things I am hoping to get at 75%, these were all marked 30% or 50% off at my local stores

Fisher Price 3-in-1 Smart Sports by Fisher Price

    Imaginext Sub

    Handy Manny Tool Bench

    Extreme Smart Cycle

games for Extreme Smart Cycle (seen Thomas the Train, Bob the Builder, Scooby Doo, Hot Wheels)

    Toy Story Collection RC Buggy

Fisher Price Kid Tough Walkie Talkies

Buzz Lightyear Remote Control guy (should be around $34)

Giddy Up & Go Pony Little Tikes

    Legos

Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Barn

Fisher Price Little Superstar Jammin' Band Musical Microphone

Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Learning Puppy

Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Shop and Learn Walker

  14. Also should mention found a couple of things in the baby dept. at 50% and 75% off. Almost all clothes in packages were marked down to 50% off and most of the baby clearance toys and monitors were as well. I think they skipped 30% off completely as none of them had 30% stickers anywhere on them.

    ###030040050 ItzBeen Baby Care Timer - $12.88 original $24.99

###030100236 Wall Mounted Mirror and Mobile Elephant $3.74 original $14.96 (great for over the changing table!

  15. I should also add that I found Gerber sleepers half off today and printed off $1.00 off Gerber clothing/accessories coupon from the Target website making each 2-pack $4 (originally $10).

Don't forget to check Gerber's website HERE, they have a $5 off $25 coupon you can stack with the Target ones. I bought 6 package (3 to donate) used 6 Target coupons and 1 $5 off $25 so 12 pair for 18.88 or $1.57 each. There is also a $1 off any sleep n' play or gown coupon, you might try to see if they will take if you only want 1 or 2 packages.
