I started to do that too, but didn't want to be too greedy. I just realized today that they sold me the Ipad 4 and not the Ipad 3 for $399!

This is just for you, penguin...................I looked at my sales receipt, and they didn't give me the Ipad 3.........THEY GAVE ME THE IPAD 4!!!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I did not know APPLE set the prices. They just get us coming and going, don't they? Well, help me make a decision.................I'd ordered a refurbished Ipad 2 before I found this deal and it finally came today. So now, I'm faced with which one to keep -- the Ipad 2 or 3. Both are 16GB, wifi only, and I am not married to any technology enough to use a bulky pad as a phone device. The difference in price is about $100 but also I am comparing an Apple refurbished Ipad 2 with a store bought Ipad 3. Which one should I keep and why?

I disagree. While it is not the absolute latest Ipad, it is still more recent than the Ipad 2 that people are still clamoring for.............and retailers are STILL charging $399 for. They are STILL at Target..............trust me. I picked one up yesterday.

They are calling it an Ipad 3 with retina display, 1080 dual camera, faster processor (than the Ipad 2) and......(gasp!) SURI!!! (I didn't know there was a 4th generation Ipad. Apple doesn't reference it on its site.)

Ok, so in Chicago at least, Target will price match B & M stores. Our local Micro Center has the Ipad 3 (yanno, the one with the retina display) for $399. That is $100 less than Target's current price of $499. Also, this week, Target is offering a $50 gift card for any Ipad purchase so, depending on how nice your local Target manager is, you can possibly get this gift card as well as the price match. If that worked out, that would give you the Ipad 3 for $445 (if you consider the gift card bonus). It worked for me on Sunday. Also, they price match the Ipad 2.
