I got my secret Santa today ! N I already opened the cookies , thank you to my secret Santa … I was gonna wait .. and opened it . Wonderful choices !!! Thank you ! ( in the Santa box is a gift card )

Well well . … I should have known that somehow I was preparing so well so early was for some reason . :(! My mom had a biopsy of her lung , that caused blood clots in her lung and they caused a stroke . She’s been in the hospital a week . And can’t use or feel her left side . She can’t talk . Only mumble . But she knows what is going on and what she wants . . It’s hard for my dad too. So I have to be there for the two of them . Makes being ahead of the game a HUGE plus .as I may not have the time or energy to wrap or shop . I literally only bought 1 order online in Black Friday , and didn’t go shopping at all . And nothing really worthwhile on today cyber Monday . So good thing I had a good start . I’m praying for her to have a decent amount of recovery , and understand it may take time . just after I recovered from a. Double concussion . But least of my worries now .

My goodness ! Prayers for a speedy full recovery .

This is the first year I actually feel like I am . 72 gifts wrapped ! ( plus wrapped a few for my ss ! ) my goal is to wrap them as they come in. Know why I am ahead ? I had a dream that it was Christmas morning and everything went wrong and I didn’t even have gifts ordered . And nothing wrapped . So I guess the dream will not be reality . plus … I had a double concussion , and have not been to zumba or going out and getting stuff done .. so plenty of time to wrap .

I see them on sale now for Black Friday .. I didn’t notice them in the kohls Black Friday flyer . Maybe I missed it . Anyone happen to see what’s the best price for each set ?

I came on here not only as I know I’ll get great deals on here , pre peek at the ads , but remembered the ss and card exchange so I had to come check in , before I’d miss it !

Also at Home Depot is the buy one get one free dewalt tool and batteries with charger . I got a $220 router , and the extra batteries and quick charger was $199.. and it was $204 with tax for both

My favorite was a pallet we buried with a skeleton under it .

well there is the idea for folded papers with numbers . Then gifts wrapped with a number on them .. but small items can be wrapped in the ball , Flash drive, fruit snacks, scratch tickets , vinyl stickers , car accessories , key chains .

I received this today !thank you ! I absolutely love the ornement ! And how thoughtful my person was ! They thought of all the boys ! Gave them each a bag with a gingerbread cookie in it and the most special pocket hugs !!! So so so wonderful !!

Every year I say to myself I’m gonna wrap them all as they arrive . Let’s see if that happens . It takes me several hours several day . But this year I might be wrapping a lot lot less , like maybe 150 less gifts to wrap

That’s a great idea . I am going over there and making apple sauce ( never thought anyone makes apple sauce from scratch .. you just buy a jar … lol) but to her it’s a big ordeal . So I will be learning how to do that . Maybe I can figure out more then . I don’t want to come right out and ask , but may have to . She did tell me about 30 people I think I need more than 2 . It’s 30 people

Every year up till this one , I would spend thousands and thousands of $$ on prizes to raffle off to high school seniors the night they graduate . The best deals were always the 10 minutes when kohls had their old coupons working and the new blaxk Friday deals . All the mini appliances , for dorms , the luggage sets , diamond earrings … and so on

Thank you you guys . I’m so glad I asked . I would have felt like a fool not bringing gifts . So.. would I likely bring gifts for everyone there ? Or just the one who invited me ?

I have been invited to a very good friends Hanukkah party , it is my very first . Anyone attend / have one ? I don’t know if/ what I should bring , and if anything specific happens or is celebrated ..any input ?

We have many different drivers . This year I expect to be ordering less than 75% what I normally did . However I have a few drivers that are amazing , and I’d have a box of candy for them , the mail man of course gets a card , with a “gift”

My family is weird .for years, everyone knew thanksgiving will happen , just whose house was the question . It was normally my house or my oldest brothers . We didn’t decide till a couple days before ( as he had to clear it with his wife) he would tell the family , unless it is at your house , it don’t matter where . You’re gonna get in your car and drive to ?? And then come home after . The only one it would matter to was me or him . And there have been years it would be at my house with only a 1-2 day notice . But really , it didn’t matter . I would shop for all the food that close to the day anyhow, and set up the day before either way . ( moving in tables as we had 35 people . It has been getting less and less through the last several years . last year, one of my sisters actually had it at her house . But it wasn’t traditional foods . More like cold cuts and some sides . What really mattered is everyone getting together ! . Thanksgiving has been a day the whole family gets together . It seems that once Covid happened , it gave people excuses to NOT attend .

I will be spending MUCH less this year . I use to do the shopping for the local high school graduation prizes at this time of year . This is the first year in over a decade that I am not doing that . Also most of the kids moved out ,we won’t be doing our normal Christmas rituals . ( I use to have over 20 gifts for each ) min hoping once the deals start rolling in , and I get my Christmas spirit , I will start shopping and get motivated

I can certainly relate . Last year was the start of the major decline on Christmas . When the kids grow up and move out things certainly change , especially when your single ..And this year is going to drastically change . It also makes the mind set of decorating drop( or did for me ). The only real decorating spirit I had was hanging incoming Christmas cards around the doorway . I use to decorate everywhere ,inside and out , and have 3 inside trees .
