taz, thats very interesting. i have never seen or heard about this. But ive seen bestbuy being stricter every year with people selling there tickets. Taz how big is your best buy? cause mine is pretty small and i would say last year we had about 400-700 people at 5am last year

The past 4 years at my bestbuy. They over stocked it at my place so it depends where you go. just go scan the place day before thanksgiving and see how many they have out. cause i know last year there was 50 ps3 at the game section. and imo, i think the gamestop deal is better -

I don't see anything in the ad about a midnight opening as was rumored. I see 5am...not missing it am I?

Alright I want to put some more input on this ad after seeing walmart's ad. And bestbuy's ad can not compare anything to walmart's. Walmart has the upper hand on video games. Laptops (imo), and media player. but i think if you guys are going for laptop i say go to Office Depot, they seem like a better deal.
So as of right now it looks like im not gonna be at bestbuy, unless they start showing some of those hidden doorbuster (if they have any this year)

You were able to get door busters online? I thought those had to be purchased in-store only.. door busters & early birds. I did some shopping online for BB last year and if I remember correctly, the prices didn't start to reflect the "sale" price till after 3am or something like that. I know it wasn't midnight.. at least not in EST zone.
Nope, some of the doorbusters were online last year at 12 am. I remember seeing the insignia camera, transformer blu ray, toshiba and sony laptop. ps3 bundle. and many more was online.

Deja vu anyone? this looks like the same ad from last year. last year the netbook was on sale and my bestbuy had like 50 of them. they went up and down the line twice passing out tickets for that netbook, but the netbook did had window xp, not 7.
And i believe there will still be hidden doorbuster. so just be patience with bestbuy.

Just got back from my local bestbuy store. I was just scouting around, and happen to pass by the garage where they do auto tech and tinting, and i saw around 30+ compaq notebook and 40+ ps3. but sadly i only saw 1 HP laptop ($200) they must have more in the back. And i also saw bunch of TVs
Edit: and my store is pretty small.. so i think im gonna get what i want this year.
