Against. I will not sacrifice family time to shop. I will shop on line and go out after our dinner and family time (10 or later) and if I miss some deals so be it. Not really looking for much this year and I understand those that go out to make their dollar stretch to give more. I know it is hard on the employees to work and not get that family time but most know that going into the job. My son works for Disney and works the holidays every year. We try to work around his schedule and he tries to get his schedule so that he volunteers to work the times that work best for our get togethers but that does not always work. My preference is the old 4-5am openings. Much more fun for me

Ds16 has the Kinect with his xbox one but it has yet to even be hooked up. He also has it with his 360 and has never used it much. It seems to be more interesting to the younger kids.

They have others close to that same price and they have 12

Ok, DS wants the Xbox one but does not know about the kinect part. He is in his 20's and it does not seem like he would use it much. What is your opinion on the Kinect piece?

The view just said Nordstrom and Costco will not be open on thanksgiving.
I hope that is true. The more stores not open the better

Depends on the age of the kids but love your idea.
Cookie baking - everyone picks their favorite to make
Find an Angel Tree and donate to a family as a family (go out and pick up presents and food together)
Family nights - movies, decorating, seeing lights, dressing up and taking pictures

For those that don't at least say "Thank you", send a card and make a donation in their name to a charity you like. This way you know the money goes to a good cause and you have done your "duty"

I joined Gottadeal for Black Friday several years ago. I loved checking out the leaked ads and then found out that it is a year round site that has helped save me money all year long. I check the site daily and love to red the posts from others. I have been able to find things with the help of other members. I can not say enough about how much money I have saved. I Love Gottadeal

I love the smell of the real tree but have to confess that the fake looks great and is less work to take care of. Also, in Southern California, less of a fire hazard.

Sometimes the doorbusters at Walmart can be found just laying around the store as others have abandoned them

Line cutting is the worst. Followed by people who bring young children and do not supervise them ( I know some have to but at least watch them)
