Last year, Gap was open on Thanksgiving I believe. Did they offer black friday deals on Thanksgiving day? I like some of their sweaters this year so I'm really hoping that they offer the 50% off sweaters deal this year.

the ads aren't bad, they just feature items the majority would not want. I see a lot of ads for refrigerators, washer/dryers, vacuums, and various appliance. Those are items people need but most already have.

I believe that the NON door busters are available online. If it's a door buster, either you wait in line or you don't get it. At least that's how it was at best buy previous years.

I want Old Navy. I'm also waiting for Gap and Ann Taylor Loft. Does H&M, DSW Shoes, or Ross do black friday?

Maybe they aren't giving out the snow globes this year. There wasn't mention of the snow globes in the ad.

eh, nothing I see that is really that great. The blu ray player and 1 tb/2tb hard drives are good deals but everything else is blah.

Bay Area in California. Emeryville, Berkeley, and San Francisco and yes, I may go to all 3 on black Friday or postpone San Francisco for the Saturday after. I will decide once the ads come out.

Free DDR2 RAM. Office Max messed up and there was no rebate for it so they were just giving it away. BEST deal ever. No tax either. Just walk out the door with it. They also had a $20 leather computer chair that year. I think this was.... 2003.

2002. I never knew about the day and I just happened to pick up a newspaper randomly on thanksgiving and all these ads fell out and then BAM, i was hooked. Black Friday was so much better back then. I could get inline half an hr before it opened and be 7th in line.
