  1. Mine was sears, I needed lots of clothes and that is were I got great deals! I'm prepairing already for sears, I have coupons that are good on BF and good on sale items also I have gift cards there :)
  2. Last year TRU & Walmart by far the worst I have ever seen!!! TRU you had to walk through every isle. You couldn't just go and get what you wanted. Then at the end of the maze was the electronics, it was all blocked off and they were letting 1 person, yes I said 1!!! in the electronics section to choose or browse whatever they wanted to do. Then 1 long line to the checkout. Forget it I got out of there. I shopped elsewhere. Then Walmart, I got items, firstly they hid all there big ticket items like the tvs were all in the frozen section (we have a double decker walmart) no one knew so overone was crammed into the little electronics area, then when it was all straightened out there was people running and nothing left! Then the lines were so long and slow, I stood in line for 2 hours!!! We are talking over 40 registers!!! 20 downstairs and 20 upstairs. Terrible!!!
  3. Well we have been doing this for some number of years and it really changes a little every year. We just find ways to improve from our previous year however we don't usually deviate from our favorite stores. I hate Walmart. As far as I'm concerned our local walmart has never played fair when it comes to BF That is one change we made... Anyway I'm rambling... Most every year we prepair lots of things for Thanksgiving dinner so there is not alot of work for me to do come Thanksgiving day. We get up early, hubby runs down to the store to get all the papers, usually one of his friends puts them behing the counter for him so they aren't all sold out when he gets there... he gets there about 6am. He buys the papers & coffee & comes home. We sit down before any of the kids get up and look through all the papers. I circle the item I want to get. If we have doubles when the kids get up we give them those papers so they can write out wish lists. We put the papers up & continue through our day. We have homemade cinnimon rolls for breakfast, watch the parade on TV, have fun playing or whatever needs to be done. The kids pack there overnight bags. My family comes over for dinner around 3-4pm, we eat dinner/dessert, then its time for me to clean, put away all leftovers. Usually we are done around 7-8. Then we pack up our kiddos and bring them over to a friends house. We have coffee & talk and leave there around 10. Well we have time alone when we get home and go to bed usually by midnight. We get up about 3:30 on BF, go to Dunkin Donuts for coffee & food, then off to the city, to the mall. We usually wait in line for an hour or so, then its off to the races :) Once we finish our shopping (usually 2 malls & some stores like Walmart/target (after the rush) we cover all the gifts in the back of our Excursion and go pick up the kids. Then we go to the tree farm and walk through the fields to pickout and cut our Christmas tree. We come home hid all the Christmas gifts and put up our tree. Then we decorate it. Then its time to relax. Ah! We wrap the gifts within the next few days so as to not have any peekers :)
  4. Oh I wanted to say a 5 items or less line in walmart/kmart and other retailers is a great idea! I think half the lines should be dedicated to that because alot of people just want a few items!!! It really would help the crowds.
  5. Amen, Amen & Amen !!! I love it.
  6. Sure now you give that itty bitty peice of info... Can I change my guess
  7. I think the chart is great, Maybe a little bigger (as far as print size) & the font is bold. That might help for us who squint, hehe. I also think simple Black & white would be good, just incase some colors might now show as well on different computers. I have a tendancy to not be able to see yellows & lighter greens on my comp. I really like the idea to click on the price/brand/exc... and view them in asending or decending order! Nice!
  8. Here is another deal of the day site http://www.plumdistrict.com/deals
  9. I'll be 38 weeks on BF this year. I have been pregnant on BF before but never so close to my DD. My last chidl was 9 days early so I'm hoping to make it through the day. I will be almost 2 hours from my hospital but only 10-15 minutes from a local hospital :) 2 Years ago my youngest was only 2 months old and I brought her BF shopping. Although our area deffinately isn't as croweded as some areas, I won't go to walmart either. Last year I went there for the first time and checkout was over 2 hours. I go to the mall. Very nice there :)
  10. This I got my sons for 98$ last year! DS Lite Blue
  11. I hope I can post this but I am looking for the spanish version for all my kids to take as we homeschool. The best deals I have found were on ebay. I can't find it cheaper anywhere else. However since I read this thread I'm going to check out my local library :)
  12. Here is another one http://www.mamabargains.com/
  13. Here is a deal a day site www.babyhalfoff.com I did a search and didn't get a match so I don't think its been posted before.
  14. I would love to help...looks like I have to come here more often :)
  15. I bought my tires at Sears last year and put them in the back of my SUV. I had someone else put them on as Sears was expensive for that. The tires were a great deal though and I couldn't pass them up. It was only a slight pain as it took up the back of my truck.
  16. We have 5 children. For the past 2 years we were able to go by ourselves with just our littlest child. We only have this possibility because we now have friends that can watch our kids. My husbands parents are dead, I only have my dad and he works on BF. We don't have alot of friends and the few he have ALL work on BF. We have brought our children BF shopping with us everytime except the last 2 years. I would do it again if I had to. We are not rich and BF is a great way for our children to get what they want to get. As a matter of fact our oldest 2 are upset that they can't come with us. Sears gave them 10$ Gift cards for standing in line, they were so excited they got to shop too. As for the cold, it's just like going out to play in the snow, for us anyway. We are an actively outside family, we love to hunt, fish, camp and be outside alot. So for us its just more time outside. Everyone is properly dresses with no chance of getting ill. Anyways now we leave them with our friends, who have twin girls age 17. They watch the children, as a gift to us! I can't be more thankful to them because it makes it easier for us. Maybe its where we live that is less of a problem. Our stores are not so crouded that you can't walk. Its generally like a saturday at the mall here, maybe this makes a difference?
  17. Yup we sleep but um we usually go to bed later then we should, we are afterall basically childless that night. The children are at a friends house for a sleepover and they watch them on BF so we can shop.
  18. Early in the morning my hubby goes out to the store to get the 2 papers and coffee, comes home, wakes me up with coffee (MMMmmm) and we read the sales papers marking out the things we are getting. Then we plan what store we go to first, second and so on. I pack the diaperbag or get my pocketbook cleaned out so I don't ahve to fuss with anything. We drop off our oldest children at our friends house after dinner for a sleep over. We keep the youngest with us, she is 1 now but was 2 months last BF!
  19. I shopped 2 times pregnant and last year I took my 2 month old with me. I used the Moby Wrap, placed her snuggly against my body and put a blanket over her. It was easy with her on my chest. But be very careful you don't get hit. Some people are insainly crazy and don't care about others.
  20. Thanks so much for a great contest!
  21. Children's Sleepover Parent's pulling a late night! Doorbuster Savings Lack of sleep at night Waiting on the crack of light Were in for the fight
