  1. It is an awesome opportunity to spend time with my extended famiky. We make a day of it ending it with dinner out at our favorite restaurant. We look forward to it all year long!!
  2. Half-priced Books in 10/15....hopefully others to follow!
  3. It's a family event for us. I love how we all come together to help each other score great deals!!!
  4. First ad is released, Absolutely excited, Black Friday is near!
  5. My husband and I both purchased our Ipods with replacement plans from Target. I had to use mine once and my husband had to use his twice. I found it a wonderfully easy experience. The Target associates were friendly and eager to make it right for us. It was a much better experience than I have had with other retailers and their warranties.
  6. I am lucky to have a family that understands. Last year, we talked to a screenprinter prior to Black Friday and had shirts made up for our family. They say BFF (Black Friday) on them in green print on a red t-shirt. We then put numbers on the back of them for each couple. The guys all got the month they got married and the girls got the day. It was quite hilarious to see other folks' reaction to our insane family and our t-shirts. My husband used to think I was crazy for going out, but over the past 10 years he has become nearly as excited as I am, although he won't admit it. I found that if I give him a task to complete for the day (last year he weaved through the crowds at Target to get a tv) he feels pretty cool about being able to "score" that hot item. My coworkers do think I am crazy. I'm like a lot of you...July and August make me think about Christmas and Black Friday. I love it!!!
  7. This is the absolute easiest dessert recipe ever! I grew up with my mom making these every year and they continue to be a tradition in our family. Their smell is incredibly evocative for me. They are delicious and highly addictive! Peanute Clusters 1 package white almond bark 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 square baker's chocolate 2 jars Planter's salted peanuts Melt the almond bark, chocolate chips, and baker's chocolate in a double boiler. (You can also use a regular pot on very low heat). Stir the chocolate. Add the peanuts. Stir until all peanuts are coated. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on waxed paper. Let harden.
  8. To Kill A Mockingbird...I must have read it twenty times!
