  1. I imagine this question has been asked before but I can't find it so here goes...

I was at my local Target last week and bought a slow cooker for $17.48. Then when my mom saw it she really wanted one and her birthday i coming so I started calling around. I finally found one in a neighboring city today for the same price but by the time I could drive 45 minutes to get there, it was gone. So...while I was visiting my inlaws I stopped by their Target (about 10 minutes from the one I was already at) and they had one left. I grabbed it and went to pay and it was $24.48....that is $7 more!

I needed it so I paid that, but it totally erks me how they all do their clearance so differently. Here is my question....If I return it to my store will I have a prayer of being the one to get it when they take it back out? They won't do a price adjustment for me if it was purchased at a different location, right?

Is there some loophole I am missing?? I really want the cheaper price....it is the principle of the matter!! LOL :cheesy:

    Any advice?

  2. I was at my local Target yesterday and found a toy I liked for a birthgay party my son was going to today. I bought it and went to the party and fater seeing the reaction I decided I wanted more for my niece and other friends. My store had no more so I drive to the other store in my city (10 minutes away) and it was only marked down 33% instead of 50%.

Why do they do this? They had like 10 of them. I would have bought several at the lower price. I asked an employee why such similar stores are so different in markdowns. He just said, "i dunno ma'am, that's just how it is and there is really no way to know if it will ever get that cheap here."

    ARGH!

  3. I'VE BEEN SCAMMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got the confirm. email where they charged me $16.01! Called CS and they WOULD NOT LET ME CANCEL MY ORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!! The web said my order was Backordered, and that it was $10.89!!!!!!!!!! The CS guy said he doesn't see anything like that there! LIAR!  So now I have to wait for it to come and write REFUSED on it. GRR. IN the meantime my hard-earned ebay $ on my PayPal card is gone.

This is the END of DDD for me!

Yeah, they did that to me during the 20% off sale. It said one thing when I checked out and then AFTER the order processed another charge was made to my debit card for the difference. I ended up paying full price instead of 20% off. I am still waiting to hear back from them.

I was really dissappointed and don't know that I will order from them again either.

  4. I can never get this site to work! I registered and by the time I finished the thing I wanted was sold out. Then I decided to wait and see what else I could find. The next day when I went to log in it wouldn't recognize my information, but it also said it was unable to register new guests so I couldn't even start over.

It is getting very frustrating! I wanted to pre-order Cars, but from what I hear the "gift card" issue is a mess.

  5. are you scanning them to see if they are really 30% off? All the pool stuff at my Target has been long gone, but they ran it 75% off a while ago.

I scanned it and it said the price it was marked. I can't beleive they aren't giving them away at this point! Utah's pool season is really drawing to an end and I was shocked it was still as expensive as it was. It is one of the larger items...an inflatable slide for the pool. I don't know if the larger items are cleared out slower or not, but I thought I would see if any of you pros could shed some light. ;)

  6. I am an admitted beginner at this Target stuff, but I know some of you are EXPERTS!

So, is there a way to tell from the clearance sticker how long it as been there or when it will get marked down again? There is a thing in the pool toys that I would love to get my brother for Christmas. In my area I would have thought it would all be cleared out by now, but they are still only at 30% off! If it would go 50% or 75% I would buy one or two in a heartbeat!

  7. We get most of my husbands clothes there. We buy Kenneth Cole, Liz Claiborne, Tommy Hilfiger shirts for $4 or slacks for work for $9.

You have to hit it at the right time, but if you do it can be a great way to stock up.

A couple of years ago the they had a $200 set of stainless steel pans that had been marked 75% off because they were changing the set. On the "additional 50%" day I bought the entire set for $25. My brother was amazed at that Christmas gift.

Just keep your eye on Dillards. You may even call and ask if they know when it is going to be. They usually say they don't know, but it is worth a try. And once you know - POST IT!! :)

    Happy Shopping!

  8. Calphalon are GOOD pans. I worked in housewares at Dillards several years ago and was always shocked at the amount people would pay for pans, but now I have a couple and I love them.

Mine are hard anodized on the outside and stainless inside, and I have never tried the ones that are hard anodized all over, but I am sure they are a good product.

Anyway, just my two cents worth!

  9. I have had the same experience. They NEVER have enough. It is like they do inventory and then print the ad according to what they are almost out of. I went in looking for a car seat they had on a 5 hour sale and they were gone. They gave me a rain check, but still haven't got any in. It is irritating.

I was there Black Friday at 8:00 a.m. and there were only 3 people in front of me in line and 3 registers open. They are supposed to be restructuring, but they haven't changed anything as far as I can tell. Between the dirty stores, the lack of merchandise, and their reputation I am afraid they are doomed.
