  1. Covid canceled our Xmas 2020 Disney cruise. Since then we've been cruising 4 times a year since Nov '21 including 2 in the next 2 months. Not that we're sick of cruising, but we just want to do more stuff. Our son is about to be a teenager so we hope he has the patience and interest on more domestic experiences.
  2. My family is looking to do more experiences rather than needing/wanting physical items. We cruise several times a year but looking at other travel related options for 2024/2025. Anyone have any experience with travel packages sold on or around BF? Some things we're looking at include long weekends at some locations in the US. (Just not FL because we live here)
  3. Spending less only because my son is older and he's received several big ticket items in the past couple of years so no need to be wasteful with spending.
  4. Waiting for PSVR2 Bundles and a 32" ultrawide gaming monitor for my son.
  5. All of my shopping will be done BEFORE Black Friday. But if there is anything exclusive to BF, it'll be done from my phone as I'll be on a cruise ship. Here's hoping the bandwidth on the boat is decent enough.....
  6. We cruise Disney a couple times a year. It's the ultimate relaxation for us. But you're right, we do it frequently and Germany is something we've wanted to do for a couple years now. But alot of things to consider including my sis-in-law being in the army and with the global climate the way it is now we have to consider if she will have duties at that time. We have until next summer to cancel the cruise if we think it's safe to goto Germany so we have time.
  7. My son has a dairy allergy so we've already begun testing dairy free foods for the holidays. Last night, a dairy free pumpkin pie complete with homemade graham cracker crust. It was sooooo good!!!
  8. Will let you know. It's on Royal Caribbean which we are NOT thrilled about but we didn't make the plans. We usually only cruise on Disney but couldn't convince the rest of the family to cruise with the rodent. Regardless on how this cruise works out, Holiday 2024 is what we're looking forward to. We have 1 of 2 options, we already booked for a TG cruise on Disney but that is up in the air as that my sis-in-law is currently in her last tour and stationed in Germany and has invited us to stay the Xmas holiday with her and her family to enjoy the Xmas markets and vacation spots there. Can't do both, so it'll be 1 or the other.
  9. My family usually does a huge multifamily TG dinner, about 8-10 families in all. But this year, most of my immediate and part of my extended family are taking a TG cruise so we will have dinner on a cruise ship. This is a 1st for us.
  10. The "Santa Visit" Christmas set 10293 is $20 off at Target this week. https://www.target.com/p/lego-icons-santa-visit-christmas-house-d-233-cor-set-10293/-/A-83345671?clkid=7abbbce8Neb4811ed9384e90d09a7e3e2&cpng=PTID1&lnm=360518&afid=Slickdeals_LLC&ref=tgt_adv_xasd0002 I'm hoping the Main Street set will go on sale soon. Additionally, Costco has all of the Lego advent calendars for 2023 for $10 cheaper than the Lego store. Costco also has the Disney 100 "Walt Disney Tribute" for $80 ($20 cheaper than other stores)
  11. Anyone else use Legos as home decor? My son, now 12, and I have picked up several many Xmas themed sets over the past few years, enough to display and use as part of our holiday decor. The Home Alone house is a great conversation piece and their 2-in-1 Xmas tree sold last year (and this year) was used as the centerpiece for the dining room table. I just ordered the Lego Pickup Truck 10290, https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/pickup-truck-10290, which will be a very flexible piece as it includes accessories for all seasons. Legos are timeless and a great bonding experience for parents and childen!
  12. Anyone else already started shopping? Already picked up video games and Legos for my son.
  13. While you won't find them on the shelves, they pop up online from Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Gamestop almost daily. PSN direct had them about an hour ago. Amazon and Gamestop had the God of War bundles this morning.
  14. Wife - Ninja Blender Son - Star Wars Legos....and Ninja Blender (loves smoothies) Me - Samsung 12.4" Tablet or iPad Pro 12.9" Family gift - Disney Cruise Line gift cards (Sams)
  15. Anyone else feel like with all of the early BF deals that they will be done Xmas shopping before Thanksgiving? I swear we are already 60% done.
  16. 1. Which store do you think will have the best Black Friday sale(s) this year? Walmart followed by Best Buy 2. Do you anticipate shopping in stores on Black Friday this year? Feel free to explain why or why not. I usually end up at Lowes or Home Depot to pickup Poinsettas. Otherwise, most of my shopping will be done before BF. 3. What one aspect of past Black Fridays would you like to see brought back? More stores closed on TG day.
  17. And caught him and used the extra Kohls throws he bought to hog tie him....
  18. The salvation army guy armed with a Square credit card reader hitting up everyone in line ringing his bell....
  19. Rolled on my back, started pointing at the sky, yelled "LOOK!!!"....
  20. and you'll never see it unless you come up with 100 Bitcoins and a PS5 by Xmas eve....
  21. A department store Santa that reeked of cheap booze staring angrily at the real Santa thinking....
