I am looking for a Blu-ray as well. Right now I was leaning towards Sony BDPBX510 3D Wi-Fi Blu-ray/DVD Player from Costco. One of the reasons for me to go with Costco is their great return policy. If for some we aren't happy returns are easy. Don't need the 3D right now, but would like something with a good built-in Wi-Fi. As Comcast really "messed up" when they did their install of our wireless network, ease and strength of connection will be important. Model suggestions gratefully accepted

Works on my phone but not my laptop. Must be mobile site only.

http://blackfridaych...om/MyStory.html
Just a lil' something to pass the time while my volunteers and I work on the recent ads. A bit of the chronological history of the product charts mixed in with a little bit of me If you have the time, go and have a read.
I really enjoyed reading your story. Thanks for sharing it and for all of your efforts year after year!

It looks like it is on the hold list for Lowes, but no way to tell what they will have it on sale for yet.

Hate it!! Black Friday should start on Friday, not Thursday. Let the employees have a day!! I enjoy the online shopping, but I just think that having the sales start earlier and earlier is wrong in so many ways. In a few years Thanksgiving will be like any other day as stores will keep pushing the envelope on opening times. Just makes me sad.

We got a great looking tree on Black Friday 3 years ago at Home Depot for a great price. I think we paid $50. for it. I can't remember what it was originally, but I know it was a great deal.
Home Depot certainly looks as if it is one of the best places. There BF ad from 2012 looks as if they had a great deal. I hope they repeat for 2013!
I got mine at Kmart after xmas . it was a Martha Stewart tree and 75% off. It was a 300 tree for 75. I love it. It is very full and beautiful. It is on a rotating stand but I can't use that feature due to it being a tight fit in my living room. My eyes were bigger than they should have been. It is a 7.5 foot tree
I did look around last year after Christmas but didn't really find much here. Sounds like you got a great deal!
I too need a new tree this year and have had this one in my amazon cart for a few weeks - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045W6UCG/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_7?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER - which is currently $249.99.
Per camelcamelcamel, the price went down as low as 159.20 on 11/26/12, so I hope the same happens this year!
What a great idea!

Meijer has a ton online. I'm looking for an 8.5' slim and they've been cheapest so far.
Do you belong to Sam's Club? They have a 9' pre-lit slim for $219.72
I don't know what they have in store, the larger selection is at meijer.com
I will make sure to check out both!

I am at Meijer at least once a week LOL I will take a look at what they have to offer. Right now it looks like Home Depot may have the best deal for me. I am going to start a Pinterest board so I can compare all my options

I got mine 2 years ago at Hobby Lobby and I think its perfect. I looked everywhere for a decent looking one with multi-colored lights.
Thanks for the suggestion! There is one not too far from me. Their ad shows them on sale 40% off in-store only, wish I could at least see description on the website. I have never been, but this may be a good excuse to go

I don't know if you have an Old Time Pottery in your area, but I have found Excellent prices on beautiful trees there - especially during their Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales.
Sadly, no Old Time Pottery here

There is a place in MI called Bronners they have hundreds of trees. It's a huge store but they also have an online presence.
Bronners is actually only about an hour away for me It is a Christmas wonderland!!! I am afraid that their trees are a bit on the pricey side though. I had planned on taking a trip up there so it is worth a look, thanks!

Any suggestions as to the best place to get a tree? We just need a 7.5 foot pre-lit tree that doesn't look too skimpy. Last year I checked on Black Friday and after Christmas and didn't find what I was looking for. The ones on sale on BF tended to be at the lower price point and just not as full as I would like. After Christmas I just didn't find anything.
TIA for the help!

While I'm happy they're reviving the tradition, I'm miffed they ruined my collection by skipping it last year and supposedly only making it available to their "best cardholders". This too shall pass.
After being a cardholders for nearly 30 years, and starting my BF there for a number of years, I will admit I am miffed at them as well. I did email them about this. While they did reply promptly, it was basically a non-answer. They would have been better off just skipping 2012. They really can't afford to alienate any of their customers.

Placed my order for two! One for me in honor of my 10th anniversary on GD, and one for my "trainee", a 12 year old who is our next generation BF shopper

Toys R Us (page 28)
Specially Marked Babies R Us diapers $10
Babies R Us wipes 432 count $5

I wonder what it would cost to get some GottaDeal snowglobes for next BF. Start our own tradition since JCP doesn't want to continue it.
We couldn't use Mickey Mouse but we could have my dog (the official GD mascot) with some mouse ears on or something
Where is that like button when you need it

The rush of getting a great deal, and just the plain fun and craziness of being out shopping in the middle of the night with hundreds of like-minded folks.

We need to fill in our collection of Disney movies. What would be considered a "BF price" for Disney DVD's or Blu-ray's? Target has some of the titles I want on DVD this week for $14.99. Should I just get them now or is there a good chance a better deal will come for BF? Thanks!

I must have missed it, but I can't find their opening time anywhere. Can someone fill me in?

AmEx offered at $25 credit on your statement if you signed up and then shopped at a registered small business. My vet participates, so I will be there Saturday to stock up on Heartworm meds that I also have a coupon for. Win-Win!

How many coupon codes can you stack at Kohl's?

Do you know if the prices will change once the sales go into effect? Just wondering if they change SKU's like Walmart.

Thanks for the tips jaymacfla and nirvana4all! I think I will go the Sony s5100. I am hoping the Sony BDPBX510 is the equivalent.
As for Comcast I am going to look into the model number. I am not hopeful of getting a new one though. Just this past weekend we tried to call technical support. Was cut off 6 times, held two different times for over 30 minutes. The only time we actually talked to a human, she was clueless and gave a phone number for paid technical support! After several hours invested we are no further ahead. Way to go Comcast!
