    Have you actually tried it? I ask because I had a register coupon that was for $1 off a cafe purchase, and they could not make it work on the popcorn combo. It was VERY annoying. Despite the sign that says $1, it actually rings up as $.99 which invalidated the coupon. :shock::no: It was really unbelievable. The manager couldn't do it either. I was more than a little annoyed that day.

    I got one of those coupons a few months back and I used it on the $1 popcorn combo and it worked. I only paid the tax on it. The register took it too.

    Got a question for everyone to verify what a Target associate told me...

     

    I was returning some items and when the person scanned it, she had to put a green sticker on each of the items. When I asked her what the sticker was for, she said that means Target won't allow it to be resold anymore and basically it is thrown out. She also pointed out a bunch of other stuff on a big flatbed cart that also would be thrown out. I asked if Target will allow its employees to take them or will Target donate them? She replied that Target will not give it to anyone for fear of being sued if someone got hurt from the item. All the stuff will get squashed with a compactor before going to the sanitation, so people cannot even scope out the trash area for goodies. I was astounded and she said that usually Target employees don't tell customers unless they ask. She even concurred how upsetting it is since there are tons of ppl that would be grateful for anything. She said it's even more upsetting when they do that with food!

     

    IS THIS REALLY TRUE??? If so, it makes me think twice about buying or returning anything in the future. I'm so upset by it now. Please tell me she was either mis-informed or she was just pulling my chain since today is April Fool's Day!

    Btw, I was at Westbury, NY Target today and Easter was totally gone. Even the Dollar spot was pretty wiped clean. And no good clearance deals at all. One of the worst deals stores I've been to in a while. I walked out without buying a SINGLE thing! And that's rare!!!

    Well, I had asked about their Halloween stuff last year because they had some really neat displays. I asked since the stuff was sold out if I could buy the display and she said no, that they have to destroy all of it. I asked her if the employees could get it and she said no.

     

    Not long after that I was shopping at Rugged Wearhouse and they had a huge sale, racks of clothes for $1! I aksed the salesperson what happens when those dont get sold and she told me that the shred them! She also said that they sometimes get stuff in that is too damaged to go out on the floor and get shredded. Even the stuff that does not make it to $1. She said that it is because the companies that make the clothes dont want their name brands on homeless people. shame shame.

     

    In a better note, I was in TJ Max and overheard the discount team talking about what needed to go into the donation box. So at least they donate clothes that dont sell.

    Funniest thing happened at Target today. When I went Thursday there were still 2 Isles of Easter stuff left. So I was hopeful that there would be plenty left today. So I headed to the back of the store where the Easter stuff was and turned the corner and BAM! Nothing! It was all gone and replaced with household stuff. So I found an employee and asked if it had been moved. He said "The Easter Bunny came and got it all last night". Luckily I had a few stashes throughout the store. :) I headed out to get them and scan them and Yep, 90%! I was so happy! Tee Hee!!!! Thanks!

    I went to 2 Targets today in different cities in NC and the dollar spot (Blue dot) was 75% off. One store had the 75% off signs up but the other store still had their 50% off signs but when I scanned the stuff if came up 75% off. I am so excited because my local store was completely out of the sesame stree stuff when it went 50% off. Now I have all of the goodie bags and great Elmo stuff to put in them!

     

    Of course, I could not resist the Easter candy! Found lots of chocolates I think had been stashed :P

     

    My best deal was the Dysney 3D puzzles. I found 3 of them!!! They all came up INF so I found an employee. This time I found someone that did not have the electric scanner and I told her that I knew someone that got them for $3.24 so she called up front and told them to ring them up that much!!! YAY!! I got all 3. I have lots of little girls in my family.

    Hit Target today and they still had a ton left. I spent a total of $20 and got 2 easter baskets filled with goodies, Little People plane and chopper set, Singing Stuffed Easter Bunny, 2 Thomas the trains, 2 Dora Keychain games, 1 set of Bob the Builder vehicles, 1 Crayola Pack of Dye tablets, 1 Seseme street egg coloring kit. I was able to use my $5 off $25 and $3 off $15 coupons!

     

    I left a lot that I wanted to get but am hoping that I will be able to get them when they go 90% Monday. :)

    I am so ready for the Easter clearance! I want some cheap chocolate!!! :P

     

    Traditional Holiday clearance schedule:

     

    50% off day after holiday for three days

    75% off fourth day after holiday for three days

    90% off seventh day after holiday for 1-2 days.

    Other than Chr-stmas this is the schedule used for holiday clearance, including Valentine's Day, Easter, Summerville, and Halloween, for at least the last two years

    Just got back from a two hour stroll through my local Target. My DS fell asleep in his stroller so I was able to go down every isle!

     

    I picked up some more Elmo party stuff 75% off. Got some poly shipping envelopes at 75% off. Got some socks 50% off. I also checked out the Easter stuff and there were tons of people there and it was going fast.

     

    I returned the Photokinz because I could not get it to work on my computer. There were none left so if someone around here was looking for one, it was a tiger.

     

    Lots of paper plates and napkins on clearance. Lots of toys clearanced.

     

    No MM Juice at all. Not even the 15 packs!
