Got the bag I wanted, too! There was a herd at the purses and shoes entrance at my location, as well...I ran in and, luckily, the salesperson I spoke to yesterday had it in her hand for me to buy. :)

Last year, Coach handbags weren't eligible, though they were previous years. Spoke to a Coach salesperson today and she said she was pretty sure it was going to apply again this year, so we'll see! I was eyeing a bag and am going early to see if it is discounted...hopefully I will report back with the bag in hand

My mom and I visited their furniture department today and found some good floor sample deals they had; we were about to buy something until I suggested to my mom that perhaps they would have more of a discount on New Year's. She asked the salesman if there would be a New Year's sale to which he said there was word of one...he was kind enough to put our pieces on reserve and was pretty much confirming that there would be a sale (i.e. letting us know what the sale price would probably be) without directly saying it. It makes sense that they are not allowed to really disclose stuff to customers, but some salespeople can be pretty generous with helping others save...so I think it'll be happening!

I've been scoping out the forum waiting to see a post about this, so woohoo! Haha, last year's sale really was great. eicats, I believe so; it was applicable to reduced Coach and D&B bags last year.

They do another extra 50% off? I thought the signs said "Today only", but maybe they are just trying to get people to spend like crazy

Thanks for the reply; yeah, they will probably transfer in season stuff and possibly discount the already reduced stuff? I will try and ask the next time I go. :)

So one of the Macy's near me is liquidating and closing completely; the saleswoman said they are going to start upping sales price on the 13th and have until March to get rid of all of their inventory. I am wondering if anyone knows if they would liquidate things such as Coach bags or anything designer, or would they probably just transfer those to another Macy's? Thanks if anyone knows!

Ooh, so extra 50% off sale stuff? Nice, sounds like what Dillard's did today...may have to check it out with my best shopping buddy, my mom.

Best suggestion ever...if Dillard's does this every year, wow, have we missed out...but we got some awesome deals on a variety of stuff, so great day of shopping :); my mother and I shopped from open until closing pretty much, but at different stores. Coach stuff definitely flew off the shelves within the first two hours. Great shoe deals, so yay!
