I just did a rebate with buy.com and it took a little over 4 weeks, from the day I mailed it in, to the day they sent my check, ..they also have a rebate online center that you can check on your status....you can't mail your rebate in until you have the product in hand, since you need your upc symbol from the box. hope that helps.
