I ordered an item on 12/12 and opted for site-to-store shipping since it was going to cost an additional $10 to ship it to my house. The arrival range was 12/15 - 12/22 which was fine. I kept checking tracking to make sure nothing had happened, and it kept saying everything was as it should be. This morning (12/22 - so the last day of the arrival range) I checked the order, and it stated that it had been canceled because the "site to store item was lost in-store." WHAT?! How do they lose an item in the store? It isn't something they carry in-store, so it's not like they accidentally put it out on the sales floor. That weirdness aside, they didn't even notify me about it; if I hadn't been diligently checking online, I would still be expecting my item to arrive today. It's been 10 days since I placed the order, so the fact that they didn't update to canceled status until 3 days before Christmas is also upsetting. I emailed customer (no)service who sent me a response that was basically a politely-worded "poop happens and it sucks for you" letter. I wasn't asking them to comp. me anything; I just wanted to know how something like that could happen and to let them know I was disappointed in the timing of the whole thing; if they had notified me even at the end of last week I wouldn't have been angry. Not only did I not get an explanation, there wasn't even a hint of an apology anywhere in what they sent me. Fortunately I found the same item that WM lost on amazon for what I had paid at WM (I checked amazon when I first bought, but they were $50 higher at the time), and I paid the 3.99 upgrade from Prime 2-day to overnight shipping, so I hope to have it in hand tomorrow. I intend to snail-mail WM customer service just to let them know my feelings on the matter - especially the lack of any sort of apology for the extra trouble their error caused. I don't expect anything from that, either, but it will make me feel better to send it. lol Sorry for the rant... I just needed to get it off my chest.

In addition to what pp said, I'm pretty sure that the 360 Arcade that sells for 199 doesn't have a hard drive while this one has a 20GB hd. I'm thinking this is one of the Pros that were eliminated when they dropped the price on the Elites.

I just read an article via AOL discussing WalMart's upcoming deals - one of them happens to be a 32" Sharp LCD tv for $398, so if you're like me and not willing to drive 50+ miles to a BB that has this in-store, WM should have them come the next week or 2. Jennifer

If you want to burn cds you need to upgrade to at least the cd-rw drive - a dvd-rom drive will only read, not write. Also, it says there is no modem option which is fine if you have a modem provided by your isp (usually phone or cable company). If you need a dial-up modem, this doesn't have one. Other than that, it looks like a good deal. Jennifer

For those of you whose orders were cancelled - when you go to the order status page on sears' website does it still show your order details or does it show it as cancelled? Since I got the "sorry for the delay but we are processing it" auto-email several hours after the cancellation notice, I have no idea if my order was cancelled or not! If I need to go elsewhere to get my item I'd prefer to do it sooner than later. I'm hoping that the answer to this will help me figure it out. Thanks in advance for any help! Jennifer

I don't know what to think. I placed my order at 5 am sharp on BF - everything went through fine and I printed my confirmation. I received an email confirmation from them on Saturday. Yesterday at 6:50 pm I got an email that they canceled my order and would credit back the amount on my card; I sent a rather scathing email to CS. I didn't get any sort of reply from CS, but at 8:30 (so almost 2 hours after the cancellation email) I got an email apologizing for the delay but that my order was received and being processed. When I go to their order status and put in the order # it doesn't give me any sort of status, but all of the order details are still there and it doesn't show a cancelation. What on Earth should I think about this???? I need a new camcorder before Christmas. I can buy another one elsewhere, but then what if my order is still good and I end up paying for and receiving two? Any insight? Jennifer
