  1. I agree with getting a Amex pre-paid card. I have both the standard Amex reloadable card and the Amex Bluebird (BlueBird.com) reloadable card. Both you can use with virtually no fees unless you want to use it a lot at ATM's. As I understand, Amex created the BlueBird card for Walmart. Both cards take 5 business days to load the card from your personal bank account. Payroll Direct Deposit good and shows up on pay day. If you are in a hurry to load the card you can use your bank debit card to transfer funds to the Bluebird card for a $2 fee.
  2. Other Online: TigerDirect (formerly Circuit City.com amoung others).
  3. If you were surfing the StraightTalk.com website make sure you were in the right place. More than once I'd get wisked off to the StraightTalkSim.com website and it didn't have phones that were for my area. Our area doesn't use SIM cards for the most part.
  4. My vote is for the (android 2.2) LePan TC970 Tablet. It has a 10" screen and I'm told is in the top 5 best sellers on Amazon. They are regularly discounted to $198.00. Great customer reviews on Amazon and Walmart.com. They are often out of stock. I ordered mine Thanksgiving eve (it was out of stock) but received it the following Wednesday. You can pre-order the yet-to-be-released model that is about $75 more. http://www.amazon.com/Pan-TC-970-9-7-Inch-Multi-Touch/dp/B004PGMFG2/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1324435110&sr=1-1
  5. Good for both you and Wal-Mart!
  6. I'm thinking you will need to double your budget for something with that new of an OS.
  7. I'm still using the one from 2008 (Compaq w/Vista). I bought the one in 2009 but sold it unopened. But I still have the 2010 model sitting around unopened. It was suppose to be for teenager but so far that plan has not been panned out. What is the difference between those last 2 HP Windows 7 laptops?? Or why were you not pleased with last year's model?
  8. I did some research a year or two ago. I got discouraged by reading the reviews. There were some models sold by Sears that the reviewers were telling how their over-the-range units had the doors warp from the heat of the stove. Of course they said they mounted them as directed by the owners install guidelines. I was tempted to just put up a metal shelf and sit a "normal" unit on the shelf. But I really wanted a stove steam/exhaust filtering system since I didn't have an easy way to vent outside. But then it would probably turn out to look like a cobbled together setup. So I still have my old unit with it's defective timer. Lots of luck!
  9. I've placed probably a dozen orders with them since this summer. Great prices on most. You will find most is generic without any brand labels on them. I do read the reviews because some products get horrible ratings...so I skip even the cheap items with bad ratings. I have had 2 or 3 items shipped from the States. Also I've been known to place two orders for the same item when they have super sales that you are limited to one item at the special price. I have not ordered anything yet that requires me to pay for shipping. There has been a couple of items I would have purchased, if the shipping was free. I'm also keeping an eye out for Christmas stocking stuffers from Meritline.
  10. If you are on Walmart's emailing list, then you should get the notification. Last year they made it more obvious in their email. The year before there was a banner ad in the email that wasn't all that obvious. I was able to get a one of their laptops both years. Both years the main secret sale was 2 or 3 weeks before Black Friday. Last year they had two secret Saturday sales about two or three weeks apart.
  11. I agree with ya. It's getting more useful all the time.
  12. I too have ordered once from there and got a great deal on a videocamera that was on sale for almost half price of other sites. I would not hesitate to order from there again. My order was early winter last year.
  13. Did you mean a DEhumidifier? Seems odd that there would be a clearance on a humidifier at the beginning of the season. If you did mean DEhumidifier then Walmart's regular price on the smallest unit (25 pint) is $154. I've been watching for clearences on a DEhumidifier at Walmart (the only superstore in my area).
