Oh tomorrow night is online only starting at 7 or 4 if you have the Walmart plus early access

Hoping to grab one. Looks like the only color they will have available is mint green.

  2. That Walmart thing is really disappointing, it sounds like it would really affect people who don't have much money, sometimes layaway is the perfect way for me to shop.

I haven't used layaway in years. But with the baby it would have helped this year. And what's worse is they don't really make that policy seen anywhere. I was told it was on the website. Well bad on me for not checking there. I found out after waiting in line for 30 minutes being the next in line. The person on front of me had issues.

  3. Very very light year this year. We have guardianship of my granddaughter so money is not as free as previous years. And my mom is in the hospital recovering from surgery.

I actually got everything I really wanted online.

    Best Buy:

Allita: Battle Angle, Hellboy, Mortal Engines and Bohemian Rhapsody all on 4k.

    Target:

Jbuds Air Sport wireless headphones x2

Ventured out with the baby around 8pm Thursday. Went to Walmart and walked around a bit. Crowds were very light. Didn't buy anything. Headed to Target. Parking lot was still a madhouse so I passed. Passed by Best Buy on the way and still looked crazy so went home. Ventured out Friday morning and grabbed some toys for the baby. Went to Target and walked around a bit and didn't buy anything.

I will say this. Walmart really pissed me off with their new Layaway policy. No item under $10 and the minimum amount has to be $50. Some of the toys I had were $5 each and taking them out of the equation took my total under $50. Seems like nothing more than a way to get people to spend more money.

  4. Are the airpods really worth it? My 13 year old daughter is wanting them, but I am having a hard time paying that much for headphones..lol.

She says she likes the apple brand earbuds because they fit her ear much better than other ones. I hate not to get her something she wants, but 129.00 is still a lot of money for them.

With a 13yo you have to wonder if it's a fit thing or a name thing. Might be embarrassing to not have the high dollar ear buds.

With that being said I tried Airpods and really didn't like them. They always felt like they were going to fall out. I use Jlab Jbuds now. Way cheaper and they sound just as good as Airpods. The only real advantage that Airpods have over all the others is they pair individually. Which is nice if you want to use just one at a time.

  5. So during the whole fiasco I posted to Twitter about it. Sam's Club actually replied to my tweet.....

"Hi Steven, please accept our sincere apology for any issue you may have experienced during our November One Day Event. Please private message us your membership number and email address."

Just checked my email and they sent me a $30 egift card. [emoji106][emoji2533][emoji106][emoji2533]

  6. Walmart was dead. You would not even know it was Black Friday. They had all of the food aisles set back up. Movies were pretty well picked through but I did manage to find a few.

Best Buy was steady but not packed. I managed to get the last thing on my list that sold out online. The Dark Knight 4k. I did notice that the employees were a bit on the attitudinal side. Not smiling or even remotely friendly. Yeah we get it you're tired. But at least try to fake it and keep your bitchy attitudes in check. One even got ignorant with me when I tried to ask her a question. Far cry from the hospitality at Target.

  7. Target has always been pretty organized from what I have seen. If I remember correctly they do tickets for limited door buster items. And I know every year I have been on there they usually have some of the door buster TVs an hour after opening.
  8. As long as you are elegible for an upgrade it is no different than going to your carriers store. Except you are getting a $250 Target gift card instead of a discount on the phone itself. And no the gift card can't be used towards the price of the phone. You don't get the gift card until the phone is activated.

Best Buy is offering up to $150 off the price of the XS. So your savings will be monthly.

You might want to check your carrier for deals as well.

And just throwing this in there. We got iphone XRs and love them. Less expensive than the XS and you get a bigger screen.

  9. Best Buy:

    Ipad 128gb

    JBL Flip 4

    Sphero BB-8

    Deadpool 4k

Black Panther and Infinity War Blu-rays

    Target

    Hamilton Beach Toaster

    Black & Decker coffee maker

Pacific Rim and Deepwater Horizon 4k

Shaun of the Dead and Good Morning Vietnam Blu-Rays

    Amazon:

    Fantastic Beasts and Lucy 4k

Only thing I didn't get was The Dark Knight 4k which went out of stock before I could check out at BB.

Tomorrow night will be a casual browse.

  10. Hi There,

I am looking to upgrade 2 smartphones and am confused by the terminology of "Activation required". Does anyone know what that means? Could I upgrade an existing line/phone, or do I have to activate a completely NEW line?

    Thanks!

It just means to be eligible for any deals and discounts you must activate the phone at the time of purchase. You can't walk out with the phone and activate it later.

Some deals like bogo or free top tier phones may require adding a new line. But those types of deals specifically state new line required.

  11. Was just in my local Target and they have the big movie display out already. Some of the bf prices were valid and they were pretty well picked through already. Especially the 4k movies. Hope they restock or I see no point in going.
