Also if the shelf is empty ask an employee if there are any in the back. At my Target the employees would call for items if still in stock. I got everything I wanted just had to wait for some items to come from the back. I didn't get there when it opened. I didn't get any electronics but I did get a sewing maching.

Last year walmart employees came out and formed a line/human fence (they actually linked arms) around the people waiting to get in right before the doors open. Things went smoothly getting in. The year before this did not happen and many things were gone because of people crashing the lines. They did give substitutes for some items but not others. There must have been a lot of complaints from that year because last year was great. One girl trying to jump the line was funny, she kept saying "I'm just here to watch." Walmart employees would not let her through. She kept going around to different spots and kept saying the same thing. They wouldn't let her in. I saw her as I was getting ready to checkout with a cart shopping.
