Story from my local Target store. We were delayed about 40 minutes, but glad that the Target Manager had the sense to lock the doors before people really became upset. Her attempt to cut in line upset a lot of people! Police arrest Black Friday shopper HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman was arrested by police just before midnight on Thursday at the Holland Target. According to a witness, the woman was trying to jump to the front of the Black Friday line. Because of this, Target called police instead instead of opening the doors at midnight. I shop year around! Found a lot of good bargains this year. In fact, I have Mother & MIL birthdays and mother's day gifts completed as well!

What a great thread! Thank you! I love hearing all the positive stories. I was at Meijers on Black Friday hoping to score some $6 Squinkies. There were no more left. Another lady came up and was disappointed because they were all sold out. She had put some in her cart at Walmart, but didn't buy them because she hoped to pick up cheaper at the Meijer sale. I went to walk away and some guy walked up and handed me two packages because they decided they didn't need them. I in turn handed one of them to the other lady waiting. She was so excited and couldn't believe it! She asked me if I was sure and I told her yest, but daughter didn't need two........we all walked away with a good feeling!

Ok, had my first Black Friday dream already. A friend and I were not prepared. We went to Target not knowing what was on sale, since none of the ads came out. Since we were so confused we just stood in a random line. When we got to the front, we find out the item was a kids sewing machine. I decided to pick one up even though I didn’t know the price. So we wandered around the store and I did a price check on the sewing machine. The machine was originally $10, on sale for $9. I put it back saying that it wasn’t much of a sale. So, we left Target without buying anything, went to Walmart, and we left there without buying anything. But this time my conscience was alerting me to this nightmare I was having and I woke up and realized it was all a bad dream. There is no way that we would ever leave Target on Black Friday without buying anything……………………

So glad I am not the only one feeling depressed due to lack of Black Friday ads. You all just made me feel better--that I wasn't the only insane one! I even just had a "nightmare" that I went shopping on Black Friday but had no idea what was on sale because none of the ads had been released!

Cranberry Fluff Ingredients 4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries 3 cups miniature marshmallows 3/4 cup sugar 2 cups diced unpeeled tart apples 1/2 cup halved green grapes 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 can crushed pineapple, drained 1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped Directions Place cranberries in a food processor; cover and process until finely chopped. Transfer to a large bowl; add marshmallows and sugar. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight. Just before serving, stir in the apples, grapes, nuts and salt. Fold in whipped cream. Yield: 10-12 servings.
