  1. I agree with most everyone else. A Christmas Card and a Thank You card after Christmas. I have family that can be like this, as well. I feel that if she was really ready to make amends with you, she would have talked to you instead of your husband. I really hope that's not the case though, and she is ready to grow up and has gotten her priorities straight. I hope this all works out for you though. Happy Holidays! :)
  2. I also saw these at Penney's yesterday for $14.99. I hope you're able to find the two you need. :)
  3. I ordered mine on the 6th of December, so I hope they get here before Christmas, but even if they don't, that's okay. Everything I ordered from Cherry Press was basically an add-on gift for other things I got people for Christmas. They'll understand if I just tell them I have something else for them, but it hasn't arrived yet. :)
  4. I got my order today (it was placed on the first)! I haven't checked the entire order yet, but on my receipt it, it shows that everything was in stock and I noticed they included at least one little extra goody. A large die cut that says "Harvest". Very cute. By the way, the chipboard accents are bigger than I was expecting. I guess the sizes were on the site, I just didn't realize how big they'd be until I opened the package. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality of everything. Now to go through it and remember everything that I did indeed order.
  5. I was just coming to post about a Catherines ad I just saw online. Tomorrow is their Customer Appreciation Day. http://i16.tinypic.com/8ayfs5x.jpg http://catherines.charmingshoppes.com/pagebuilder/customer_appreciation_december07
  6. If your local KBToys doesn't have them, I found this online. Child Leonardo Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Costume http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/futurememories_1980_145781092 Price: $14.95 http://www.futurememories.com/fm-dis-5845-sm.html They currently have it in stock in a child's small. Hope this helps! :)
  7. Even though these are out of stock, I think I'll browse around the site a bit and look for something else, so thanks OP. I got a $5 GC awhile back for doing some survey. I kept meaning to sell it on ebay or something, but I never think about it. Maybe I can find something on their site that I could use as a gift, since I don't drink coffee. I just always forget that they have a website, too. Thanks again OP! Edit: No luck. I didn't find anything that any coffee drinker's I know would need.
  8. I got this in the mail today. :) I'm putting it back for a Christmas present for myself (how sad is that, since I got it free? ).
  9. If you click on recent orders at the bottom of most pages, it might tell you a little more about your order. I kept getting worried because both of mine just said "PaymentOK", but when I go to the order history page, it tells me that my orders have been shipped. :)
  10. If anyone does order from them, I found these codes. I tested them and they all work. :) For 10% off any order, use code sc27 For $5 off $25 or more, use code 52204 For $10 off $40 or more, use code 1144
  11. I have a Silvertone electric and I really like it. I've had it for 4 years and haven't had a problem out of it. It sounds great and I've had plenty of friends that are more into playing than I am and they've never complained about the sound either. I wouldn't ever hesitate to buy another Silvertone. Hope this helps. :)
  12. I placed my order on the first and haven't heard anything yet. I hope I get it all before Christmas. I'm hoping to put some of the things I ordered in one of my friend's stockings. :)
  13. Thanks for your suggestions everyone! :) I went out today and hit KB Toys, Kmart, Tuesday Morning, Dollar General, Family Dollar, and Walmart. I managed to get around 30 toys and spent $99.56, so I think I'm doing well on the budget for the most part. I managed to get a few hand held games that I found on sale at Kmart for under $3.50 and a couple of footballs and basketballs for some of the teens. I think those will go over nice, at least. The majority of the things I bought today came from Tuesday Morning though (thanks nikkilugi!). Tomorrow I'll be going back out and hopefully I'll be able to hit another Kmart, Walmart, Family Dollar, and a Dollar Tree (possibly another Dollar General and Big Lots, too). I feel like I'm doing fairly well with what budget I had though. If I feel that I need to grab a few more things than the budget allows, I might spend a bit of my own money. It's definitely worth it for this Christmas party. :) Thanks again for your suggestions everyone.
  14. I'll keep that in mind as a possibility for some of the teen boys. Thanks!
  15. They're definitely going to be hard to buy for. I had thought about maybe some of those hand held games (poker, fishing, etc) if I can find any on sale or that are within the budget. If I had a slightly higher budget DVDs would have been a great idea for the teens. I'm not even sure what else I should look for though.
  16. Unfortunately there aren't any HOBOs near me. Small town living is horrible for finding deals, apparently.
  17. I had forgotten about Big Lots. I might be near one later in the week, so it'd be worth checking out to see if I could find some things. Unfortunately there aren't any TRU stores close by, but I'll try to hit Tuesday Morning tomorrow since there's a Dollar General right beside it. I don't even think I've ever been in a TM before though. I'll definitely be hitting every Dollar Tree that I run across and possibly Family Dollar and Dollar General, as well. Unfortunately, I don't. If I ordered from Amazon more often, I'd get a Prime account myself, but I don't order enough (and I'm patient enough to wait on super saver shipping) for it to be worth it for me. :\
  18. Okay, so last night I got designated to help with buying toys for a community Christmas party. The budget for the boys (ages 1-17) is around $145 and I have to try to get at least 40 toys, but more than that is even better (the ideal amount would be between 50-70). If I had been informed a little more in advance, I could have taken advantage of the Amazon or KBtoys online sales, but I have to have these items in hand by at least Saturday. So does anyone know of some places having awesome sales on random toys in the next week? I'll probably go out tomorrow and see what I can get, but you guys need to help me out! Any help at all is appreciated. :)
  19. I wish there was a Dillards around here so I could check out this sale. I'd have to drive into NC to get to the nearest one. :\
  20. I ended up ordering two mouse pads, three photo key chains (for stocking stuffers), and a small magnet (just to bump my key chain order over $25 to get the better discount). All together (including shipping on the second order) I ended up spending $25.70, for a total savings of $17.75. I can deal with that. :) I have a feeling I'll be back to order more stuff soon though, like my own mouse pad when I've designed one that I like. Now let's just hope they get here before Christmas. *crosses fingers*
  21. I found this code for free shipping. It's supposed to expire on 12/9, so hopefully it will still work for you. Free shipping over $99: BSOTYFS
  22. I'm going to order a few of these and hope they get here before Christmas. For anyone that's having trouble with getting their picture large enough without it being pixelated: If you have any Photoshop skills (or skills in a similar program), you might try centering the picture and making a nice background for it. I'm ordering one of these for my grandmother and the only picture I have of the entire family, I had already resized to a weird size that was too small to use for the mouse pad. Here's what I came up with (resized to fit better here, of course), and I'm sure she'll love it. :) http://i9.tinypic.com/89jxrhf.jpg I also made a non-photo one to match the blanket that my Mom has made for my younger brother for Christmas. He plays football and lives and breathes it. I used the same font and paw prints (even though they're not actually bear prints) that I used when I made up the pattern for the letters and paws on the blanket she's making. http://i13.tinypic.com/87lwhfl.jpg Now I'm trying to think of other people that I know of that still use mouse pads so I can make one for them.
  23. Oh, I see it now... There is a drop down on the Google thing, it just wasn't showing up at first. I have no idea why though. It might be because I'm on dialup and the page for the google checkout was taking forever to load. I thought it had finished, but just now when I went back to the page the drop down loaded up as the very last thing. How very odd. Thank you for your help Lyricsmama!
