Not nuts at all. I hate cables too. There are many mp3 players that plug directly into a USB port. If you have Win XP it will recognize it as a drive, so no software needed. Some examples are the PNY VIBE for one. I'm not familiar with Gateway computers, are they reliable? Isn't this the same unit Circuit City had for $299 after rebates a while back? I've been real disappointed with BF this year. I was hoping for a 32" HDTV to go on sale again. My local WalMart still had 12-15 of the Poloroid 32" HDTVs the Sunday after BF. And good thing I didn't buy one because half of the sold ones came back as returns. I'm hearing horror stories on that model. Is the poor quality based on all the manufacturer's products or is it based solely on WalMart models? I feel like the manufacturer are substituting QC for Quantity to make up for the huge discount when selling to WalMart. Any ideas?

Did anyone get a laptop? I've been refreshing since before 6am and I don't think it was ever "in stock". They also don't take gift cards online, so I'm off to the store. Wish me luck.
