  1. I dislike how most of the sales have moved away from actual Black Friday but sales are dispersed all month long. Nothing to compare to see who has the better price. Lack of paper ads that can be carried with you. People who grab all of one item only to sell it online later.
  2. Mostly shop online but I like to go browse the movie selections to see if I want to grab any. I still like owning my own copy. My granddaughter puts everything on Vudu but I am still old school
  3. Make this every year...family favorite. Pumpkin Roll Cake ingredients 3 eggs 1 c. sugar 1 c. pumpkin 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie Filling for pumpkin roll 1 - 8 oz. cream cheese softened 1 c. powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 Tbls. butter softened Heat oven to 375 degrees. Place parchment paper in bottom of 9x15 inch pan (jelly roll pan). Lightly spray with PAM. Mix cake ingredients together thoroughly. Pour cake mix into pan and spread evenly across pan. Place cake in oven and bake 10-15 minutes. Check at 10 minutes for doneness. While cake is cooking, wet a towel big enough for the cake to be turned out and and roll up to cool. I wring all the excess water out of towel, just want it damp. Spread towel out on counter or table. Remove cake from oven. Line edge of pan about 1 inch from edge of towel and turn out cake onto towel. Remove parchment paper from cake. Fold edge of towel of cake on long side and roll all the way up like a rug. Carefully pick up cake and place in refrigerator to chill for 20 minutes. Mix filling ingredients together thoroughly until creamy. Remove cake from refrigerator and unroll. Spread filling over cake. Roll back up and slice. Place slices on plate and serve. You can dust with powdered sugar if preferred.
  4. I have changed to shopping online mostly. It isn't as fun as the days of scanning the ads on Thanksgiving and heading out at 2a.m.the next morning plus my kids/grandkids are grown. They have specific wants that I watch for such as Burt's Bee's. Probably will spend some time making some t-shirts with my cricut. I may venture out after the crazy rush just to look around and have breakfast somewhere. I will decide once the ads are out. I already bought theater tickets to Beetlejuice and Wicked for my granddaughter and I so that is her gift, she prefers experiences.
  5. #1- Dang it, she found that DVD player I wanted! Wonder if I can push her out of the way. #2- I am sooo tired. I will just lay my head down right here for a minute. #3- It was worth leaving the bed for this deal!
  6. Family has decided to change how we do gifts so not shopping for as much. I will be looking for gift cards and batteries as usual. Good buy on a toy or two.
  7. I have GD shirts and most of the JC Penney snow globes and a cloth ornament
  8. Good to know to keep an eye on Target. I haven't seen anything I need yet but you never know.
  9. #1- It's possible they still have a copy of the movie I wanted- let me take a look. #2- Guardian of the Goods- don't mess with my stuff, I have 911 on speed dial #3- Of course, we know how to camp...WE'RE MEN!!
  10. DVD's, I prefer to be able to pull it from my collection than try to find which streaming service might have it Really good towels from Penney's or Kohl's Toys when I had littles
  11. Favorite holiday tradition was viewing all the ads after Thanksgiving dinner, circling the things in each ad and making a list. After the children became teenagers the tradition of leaving the house around 2 a.m. to get coffee and go stand in line for the thing we just had to get and when all the shopping was done for the morning going to IHOP for breakfast. The best item I remembered getting was when the new one of the Nintendos ( not sure which model) came out, I was able to get it with 2 games and 2 controllers for $100. My son was extremely happy. Ahh, the good ole days
  12. Toys for my grandson; not sure for my granddaughter will just have to look around, we are giving her experiences such as concert tickets as she has plenty of stuff; maybe a new Roku for my living room tv, possibly a Roomba if price is good, not sure what else. My list is small as my family is small. Never know what will catch my eye in the ads though. Good luck and Happy shopping to all.
  13. Miss the excitement of planning to go out and shop sales. Now I just order most of it online which doesn't have the same thrill of the chase and with the sales spread out I have to constantly check what is out there.
  14. Looking for things to add to my grandson's presents, will definitely keep and eye on Target since they sometimes carry things I don't find elsewhere. Good news!
  15. Glad to see the break down. Thanks Brad!
