I have the BB CC and the thing I regret the most is that there's no In Store payment, that would make things much MUCH easier, the mail has lost 2 of my payments also.

It depends much on what you're buying, but I think that the main advantage of Best Buy is that they don't use that "Mail In Rebate" thing, that really pisses me off. I also don't think I'll be going this year, me and my friends have been going to BestBuy for the past 3 years, but we just got out of school and got new jobs, it's gonna be hard to get days off to be there. Last year we had to be there since wednesday afternoon since it has become so popular, i think that this year we'd have to be there since wednesday morning to get what we really want. I believe that this year I'll arrive around 8 or so on friday just to get movies and tv series, and maybe a home theater for the living room, but besides that, i'm gonna loose all the fun this year. Like someone has said, just take food and make friends, a blanket would be helpful too. People around you should help you with the cutters if you make good friends with them, it will also help you with the rotation, just let them be clear on what you're doing. Have fun on this experience, this is my third year and i'll hopefully will do it again next year.

I'll have to disagree, I've had a Celeron M processor on my Gateway latptop (black friday offer on 2005) and it still runs great. Of course, everything has its limits, but for school is just perfect.

If you have enough money, but the sony, that one is valued around 700 dlls. If you're looking for a computer just to surf the web and make some letters, then the toshiba should fit you well, just upgrade it to 1gb ram and you'll have no problem on running small to medium applications.

if you mean the sony 399, there's a 1gb memory and 120gb hd, for an extra 100 you replace the 120gb hd for a 160gb hd, a printer/copier/scanner, antivirus and carring case

I think it all depends on what you really need. If you need mobility well there's no doubt you should get the laptop, but if you want it for home use only, you should get the pc, since it has more RAM and Hard Drive too. They both have double layer DVD writers, so it will be easy to make your backups. For the media i think you should go for the PC or make an upgrade on the Laptop to a 1gb RAM at least. Like I said, it all depends on your needs of mobility and how much you're willing to spend on upgrades.

Yeah, i think so too, just a little more RAM, and for a hard drive, you can always get an external one.

I wouldn't either, but I can sell it for double its price, so then maybe it'll be worth the waiting, altough i haven't decided yet on my final list for this black friday shopping

I live in Mexico and we're going to a BB in Laredo, Tx. We've been going there for the past two years and every year we had to get earlier than the past one. This year we're going to be there 2am on Thanksgiving day because last year we arrive at 9am and got like place 25 in line, so this year we're getting earlier to get the best deals. Down here, if you get 1am on Friday, you'll be over 250 in line.

Yes, you can. Once you get your ticket, or tickets, you have until noon to pick up your product and pay. The ticket represents a product in their inventory. But if you don't pick up your product before noon, they'll sell it. Probably if you get to walmart at 4, 4:30 am, you won't get the greatest deals, but maybe that ain't what you're looking for anyway. You may also have to count on your position in line, it may take longer than 4 am to get the ticket.

Me too, but as a friend says: "Don't star feeling cold until you see the penguins" LOL So let's hope they're out before wednesday, because most of us won't have the chance to check this deals on thursday, since we'll be in line already

Computers usually have some seals that if they're broken, the warranty won't be valid anymore.

I'll say that the best choice is to let the people in BB install it, because of the warranty with the manufacturer. It's very probably that BB is certified by emachines and you won't lose your warranty with them if they install it.

I already bought coffee and 3 packs of cigarretes LOL, packed my jacket and rent a portable bathroom LOL This is my third year and it seems that the excitement grows with every year. It's just so cool standing in line and pay half the real price of the products, make friends and go to the gas stations just to take a leak LOL As an advice...leave money in the cars or take more than one credit car, in case one of them doesn't works, be respetful, fair and honest, and most of all, don't do what you don't want other people to do.
