Hubby has decided to build his gaming machine monster he wants so bad. After pricing them around its a lot cheaper to go this route. dvd shrink goes through Nero :)

We finally got working DVD backups using DVD shrink and DVD dycrpter. Took us a bit to figure out what we were doing wrong lol. Now with this burner we can crank tham out fast. Love this burner

Thanks to help here we got the NEC burner off newegg which ROCKS got it working and figured out how to ummm back up :) our DVD collection. Now we need more blank media. We found a deal for 100 8x DVD+R for $36.99 by ridata. Is this a good deal? Anyone know of a better one out there. Found this one at Newegg. Begining to love them lol. Also looking for a low price on jewel cases. Thanks :)

Well we have a DVD recorder and the ones burned on the computer won't play in that. We have a Sony DVD player and they won't play in that. We also have a XBOX and they won't play in that grrrrrrr. If there some sort of last step to finalize the disk were missing or something? They play just fine on the computer just not in any 3 of our DVD players. Were using DVD +R figured that should work since our DVD recorder only records on DVD +R not on DVD -R. Were kinda clueless. We have been using a external DVD recorder we use with our laptop. Picked up this new one as a internal duel layer for out desktop. Thanks again

We have DVD wizard pro. We are trying to make backup copys of our DVD collection with it but have run into a problem. It dycripts the DVD fine but for some reason the DVDs we burn can only be played back on the computer they don't work in our DVD player. Not sure what we are doing wrong. Any thoughts on that problem? We tried DVD dycriptor and DVD shrinks and couldn't seem to figure out how to make a DVD copy that would play in the DVD player with that either. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Mara

I went back to the AAFES PX (army post exchange) They had another sale today. Same as yesterday first 100 in the door got a $20 gift card. first 2 hours you got a 10% off any one item. I picked up a Phillips DVD recorder. I found it selling online for $200 to $250 depending on the place. PX had it on sale for $169 knock off 10% takes it to $152 knock off the $20 gift card I got for my time in line to $132 I think I did well. Very pleased. now just waiting to get sharply discounted christmas decorations the day after christmas.

Well I got the steam cleaner Hour in the freezing cold but I got that $20 gift card. Best part. Same offer tommorow 10% off one item and $20 gift card first 100 people. Diffrent deals. At the PX (Army post exchange) I got them to price match CC deal on Tony hawk 2 for PS2. 37.99 had another 10% off card and no tax. $34 for a $50 game :) $7 crock pot. Well I picked up 2 papers. Everyones adds BUT walmarts. Having looked at the deals online already though I can't say I'm impressed. Other places have much better deals. We just picked up a rocking Dell laptop new in the box off ebay. Looks like a lot of people are buying them in bulk and selling them there. Warrenty and all. I would pop over there and take a peek at what they have

Well a lot of the stuff in the Dell I listed was the best avalible for that model. The DVDR was a free upgrade so thats not costing me. I can't upgrade the processor on it any more. Got the best video card offered. Any idea where I could get something better for $1500? Its for my husband who mainly watches DVDs on it and plays his computer games. Weight won't bother him. He's in the army and very used to carting heavy stuff lol. Were trying to get as much bang for our buck as we can. So far that Dell was the best I have been able to find. Thanks

Thanks for that tip. I found some online deals through Dell and managed to knock $620 off the price of a laptop from tham thats looking pretty good. We get a military discount with them so that helps some. My question is does Dell ever have any black friday deals? Yeah the next round of deployments will be staggered with some going a few months after the new year and some going in late summer supposadly. Who knows though. What unit is he in? I know the deployment rumors are flying again Were hoping for orders before we get stop lossed. They say his unit won't go back. I don't buy it. I hope you start clearing before any orders come down. Not sure how much time he has in but watch out they are sucking people back in from the IRR left and right. If he's in a MOS that could get sucked back in he would be better off reuping for a base that won't deploy like FT Irwin or something if thats a concern
