  1. The Amazon deal is still alive if you look at the other retailers (i.e. sold by Amazon). Just bought one...thread attached. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?240176-Philips-Norelco-7310XL-Men-s-Shaving-System-17.97-A-C-(-49.99)-Amazon.com
  2. Jim, Please keep the webcasts going. I also find them imformative and valuable so that I can decide on what is the best deal for BF purchases. You do a great job running these.
  3. There is a Liberty Tax office in the same plaza as ABC Warehouse in Port Huron MI. Well, there were 8 of us lined up at ABC at 4:15am (store only opens at 8:00 am, but TV deals were good so lined up early. Got a 50" Pannasonic plasma for $478!!) and Liberty Tax folks started arriving at turned on their "open" sign. The 8 of us in line started joking "who is going to come and get their taxes done at 4:30 am on Black Friday of anytime on Black Friday? Well we were wrong....the Liberty Tax folks put on their uniforms (green color depicting the statue of Liberty including a cap) and start handing out free coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, etc and allow people in line to use their office to warm up ( it is 20 F outside, flurries and don't know what the windchill was, but it was biting cold for the 4 hours I was in line) and use their washroom. There was about 10 staff members (all incredibly friendly) and they were there just to take care of the folks in the ABC Warehouse line!!!!! Amazing group of ladies. They were not trying to sell anything, but you know where I'll think of and word of mouth advertise for when I need taxes done.... A big THANK YOU to the staff of Liberty Tax in the ABC Warehouse Plaza in Port Huron MI from one of the crazy frozen people in the ABC Warehouse line.
  4. My wife thinks I'm bananas getting up a 1:00 am to line up for a few hours in the cold before getting some deals, but still gives me a list of things to get for the kids and rest of family. Also, on the surface she complained about the HDTV's I've purchased on BF over the years, but I think that was just to give me "trouble" and show who is boss. She now calls the 42" in the living room that I bought a few years ago an "IPOD Touch" compared to the 50" I bought for the basement last year. Somehow this year she has me on the hunt for a 50 or 65" for her parents (I bought on behalf of family a 42" for them for XMAS a couple years ago). Rest of family and work colleagues also think I'm nuts, but somehow come to consult with me when it is time to make a major purchase...... (TV's, computers, other electronics, cars, etc) Wife says I get over run with excitement for a few months prior to the actual day and then makes fun that I fall into deep depression around noon on black Friday after all is over (which I don't). The kids have caught on to my tricks over the years............ they circle many things in the ads and I come home while they are at school and hide what I got. When they ask about the DVD's and video games, I say I missed out and sold out, but they somehow have caught on as these same items tend to be under the tree each year (hey, didn't you say this was sold out, how come we got it Christmas morning?). They now just play the game....... I think my love of shopping and deals is in my genes...My grandmother was an amazing deal hound and negotiator for price reductions.....As a kid, I was embarrassed to go shopping with her as she was always negotiating a cheaper price. It was embarrassing.....Many years later, here I am doing the same thing...I think she would be proud.
  5. I used the 30% off and free ship code yesterday wth a merchandise card. As long as you include your Kohl's charge card number before putting in the 30% off and free shipping codes these work. Then put in the merchandise card and it will say that amount is deducted from the card. I think they just want to make sure you're a cardholder and don't care how you pay (i.e merchandise card, gift card, etc)
  6. I typically buy the item online and use site to store. I then go into a Walmart store (one around here is not that junky) and buy the same item at the higher price. When the site to store come in, I pick it up at the back of store and return it to customer service at the front using the higher price store receipt. This way, I get the cheaper price and can use it right away rather than waiting a week or more for it to arrive by site to store. No real extra effort as I'm typically in the walmart store every other week.
  7. My egiftcard email arrived just over 3 hours after I placed my order this morning at 8:30 am.
  8. Tried to use 2 of the $5 coupons at Target last night. The price of the kids Tylenol was $4.99. The person in pharmacy rung up both and then couldn't get the second on to work as the coupon was worth more than the price. She sent me to cutomer service and they said I couldn't use the coupon as it was for $5 and the article was less than the coupon and they can't give me a penny back. I said just punch in the coupon as $4.99 and they said they couldn't do that. Went over to Meijer and price was 5.49. I ended up getting two boxes for $0.98 plus tax and no hassle.
