I understand what you are saying and I'm saying that Walmart doesn't do that. You are saying for example "if I buy a TV at Walmart on Friday 11-20 and Target Has the exact same TV on sale on BF 11-27, can I go to Walmart and ask them for Price Adjustment to get my money back". Walmart does not Price Adjust for competitor ads, they will price adjust their own prices if it's reduced within 7 days but not based on a competitor's ad. If you want the competitor's price your only option is to have it Price Matched during the time of the sale. Walmart does not Price Adjust based on a competitor's ad even if it's within 7 days time period.

  3. CIVI - I can completely understand what you are saying. I believe what you did was take it back still during the sale time and instead of the employees making you return it and then go through the line, they probably just did the return and repurchase on the same register at the same time, kind of like and exhange giving you the difference bac. This of course is less work for everybody and pretty much the same thing as returning and rebuying. But, MrZone is talking about buying the TV at Walmart one week and then expecting them to give him the difference based on the competitors ad the next week. It doesn't work that way. He must purchase the TV at Walmart during the time period that it is on sale at the competitor.
  4. MrZone - Your last statement only applies if Walmart lowers their price within 7 days. Say you bought it on Thursday for $500, then on Sunday Walmarnt lowered THEIR price to $400--in that case you could bring your receipt in and they'd refund the difference. That does not apply when you are wanting them to honor a competitors price. In order for them to honor a competitors price you MUST buy the item during the time that it is on sale at the competitor, if you bought in advance Walmart would not refund the difference. YOur only option would be to return and rebuy during the sale perion.
  5. OK, as someone who has a relative that is a department manager at WM I can offer a little info. on the whole "line" issue this year. 1. Most stores have gone to the "Clean Store" program where there are no longer pallets or 4-ways in the middle of their large aisles. Because of this they will not be having pallets out for Black Friday either. 2. All small items, such as games, toasters, etc. will be stocked on an end-cap (the end of an individual aisle that faces the main aisle). These will will be guarded by employees as usual and there's not as much space to gather aroun dan end-cap as there was around the pallets. 3. All large or "hot" items will have an individual designated line. Each person in the line will be allowed 1 item from that line (if you want items from 5 lines you'll need other people in the other lines for you). The employees are also only allowed to line up as many people as they have items for.....So, say they have 10 TV's and you want in that line---once they have 10 people in line they will cut the line off, an emplyee will stand at the end of the line and advise any new people that there are no more items available. Once the sale starts and it's your turn, you'll be given a ticket that you can take to the register and pay for your item, then once paid for you have to drive around to the back of the store to pick that item up. Of course, like we all know from past experiences not all stores follow the rules they've been given and some choose to do things their own way. However, these are the rules that have been provided to the managment at WM, so in most stores you may see it happen this way.
  6. Today I just had Wal-Mart price match 2 board games that Target has on sale, only to find out that they will be cheaper at Wal-Mart on BF. Does anyone know if Wal-Mart does price adjustments? If I can't get the price adjusted then I'll just rebuy the games and return the others. We always go to Wal-mart on BF....I generally refuse to go anywhere else because I'd rather not deal with the crowds and huge lines. One year my hubby talked me into going to Best Buy a few hours after the sales had started....he found what he was looking for right away but when I found out the line to check out was over a 2hr wait I told him I'd rather pay full price later. Anyway, we mostly go for the movie deals since my hubby is a fanatic and WM will price match any add.
  7. I think the issue is that they aren't necessarily going to buy the storage container....they just want to have their stuff in it so that they can snap the lid on and conceal their items from other shoppers that might try to help themselves to their cart. Either way, walmart doesn't have anything great this way and I don't care if i found out about their sale items. I agree with other posters, how many years in a row do you need to buy a crock pot or a sandwich maker, etc.
