  1. Why not get the Polaroid 42" 1080p LCD from Wal-Mart for 798? and get a 6 foot HDMI cable for $15.
  2. The list is practically complete. If you want a list in Excel format of all the tv's available for BF PM me your email address. This list includes Wal-Mart, Target, Staples, Sears, Radio Shack, Office Depot, meijer, KMart, hhgregg, Costco.com, CompUSA, Circuit City, Best Buy and AAFES. Makes for easy comparison.
  3. Thanks, I didn't realize it didn't have a tuner. WTF? Might wanna check out the Polaroid at WM for 798.00 its 42 and 1080p.
  4. Check out the 50" Hitachi at hhgregg for 999.20 or the 42" Olevia at Office Depot for 699.99. These would meet your needs just fine.
  5. I personally have a Samsung and love it. Along with Samsung I prefer Sony, LG, and Westinghouse. Right now BestBuy has a 42" Westinghouse 1080p might I add for 989.99. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=83862....
  6. Well I really don't see anythiny on that site that stands out as a good deal.
  7. Thank You. Finally someone with a brain on the argument. All I was trying to get across that a consumer that knows nothing about interlacing and progressive scan should look for 720p or 1080p.
  8. The list is in Excel format. I think you have to have like 10 posts. Run through some other threads and post some comments, easy to get 10.
  9. Do you guys think the BB 199 deal will be 199 flat or after a rebate. I really hate rebates. BB is bad about posting prices after rebate.
  10. Wal-Mart may have 50" for 699. That's not confirmed, but would be really sweet.
  11. Manager at Wal-Mart said HD DVD will be below 100 for BF. I'm hoping, but I don't believe anything until I see it in writing.
  12. You may need to talk to the store manager. They may or may not; stores tend to differ when it comes to things such as this.
  13. Show me a 720p tv at a store that does not support 1080i. Just saying that people should look for 720p or 1080p. Helps saves confusion since it is all "complex" anyways.
  14. All tv's that are 720p are 1080i as well. When comparing quality you should look for 720p or 1080p this refers to the number of lines of vertical resolution. 1080i is technically a higher resolution hence 1080 but due to it being interlaced and not progressive scan; it in turn looks either the same or worse. 1080p is currently the highest resolution offered until we see Ultra High Def which is 1440 and 2160...but that will be a while.
  15. Not sure how many Joules (a measurement of energy) the surge protector needs to be rated at. Personally I have had a Samsung 42" Plasma on a regular surge protector I got at CVS for 50 cents on clearance for over a year now. I also have a wii and 360 plugged into the same one. No issues. Surge protector is designed to protect from lightning, I say as long as you have one and it doesn't trip itself then don't worry about it. Worse case scenario is that that it will switch itself off. If that continuosly happens then get a better one.
  16. I must have looked at the wrong one. Sorry about that...
  17. just found a 46" Westinghouse for 895 + Shipping only 3 left with 40 hours left on sale...GOOD DEAL Retails at 1599.99-1899.99 http://www.ecost.com/detail.aspx?edp=37278057 It's 720p but good deal for brand and size. Element on CC.com 799.99 42" 720p here
  18. That's a reasonable price if you do not want to get out on BF. Personally if I'm spending money on a TV I would not get anything smaller than a 42". There's a Sharp 42" at CC going for $799.99 that is very likely to be the 1080p $1599.99 model they carry (but that is not confirmed) as the Sylvania is stated in the ad. Its all up to what you are willing to do.
  19. The 50" Samsung is a DLP projection tv w/ 720p which will not offer as great of amount of quality as the 42" Sylvania with 1080p. Pretty much its a bigger tv with lower quality which will mean it would look even worse than a 42" with 720p. Following me?
  20. Under $900 for a 42"? Sears Sylvania 1080p for 899.99. Only thing cheaper is AAFES and Cicuit City have Sharp for 799.99 but not sure on the quality.
  21. Best deal so far on 19" is Target Trutech with built in DVD for 199.00. Retails at like 329 regular I think. good call on the 32" Olevia mack
  22. 32" Circuit City Element for 399.9937" Target Olevia 549.00 40" Sears Samsung 1199.99 32" Geeks.com Westinghouse 399.99 Currently out of Stock - But offer is available until 11/15/07. http://www.geeks.com/pix/2007/LTVDEAL.html?AID=10439518&CJPID=1412508
  23. That is very true but the eMachines for 199 with 17" LCD is a good deal at BB. Even though its an eMachine, you can't beat a PC that's 199 with a 17" LCD.
