I think you are mistaken. Nikon's are lower noise at higher ISO than canon. You can check any of the review sites and come to that conclusion. Nikon D3 will shoot at ISO1600 with hardly any noise at all. My D50 has better high ISO noise levels than the XT/XTi. Isn't the Nikon D40/D40x the best selling dSLR out there right now?
