I don't know about a trial, but if you buy more than 5-10 things a year, the Prime membership is great. With Free Super Saver shipping, you normally wait 1-3 days for the package to ship, and then 1-6 days to receive it. With the Free 2-day shipping, it always ships that day or the next (depending on when you order) and is always there in 2 days.
