  1. Supermediastore is an Amazon seller although I have not used them. I bought mine on Amazon from Abacus 24-7. I have them running from my Onkyo TX-SR805 to my 58" Panny Plasma and PS3 and they work great. I didn't notice any difference from my friends Monster brand cables I tried and he can't believe how ripped off he got. Two cost me under $10 shipped and he paid $80 for one 4' cable! http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002L5R78/ref=ord_cart_shr/104-9412584-7123109?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A3VODXGBJ323R7&v=glance The strange thing is on Amazon it shows it as a Supermediastore brand, sold by Abacus 24/7 at this link. Either way it's cheaper through Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/6-Foot-Gold-Plated-Cable-28AWG-Ferrite/dp/B000N3LLM0/ref=sr_1_1/104-9412584-7123109?ie=UTF8&m=A3VODXGBJ323R7&s=generic&qid=1194841984&sr=1-1
  2. Just got back from the Reward Zone event in Manchester NH. They had a live High School band playing. Free snacks, coffee and soda. They gave away a free optical mouse to the first 100 people, flowers at the door as you walked in. They also gave out raffle tickets and gave away prizes and a $50 Best Buy gift card every 15 minutes, no I didn't win They had at least 50 Wii's. I was number 35 and the associate handing out the tickets still had a stack left. I spent $345 and got triple points which is another $20 gift card. I had $45 in rewards cards to use so the Wii rang up as $221.14 and Guitar Hero 3 for PS3 normally $99.99 was only $88.45. It was quite the show, lol.
  3. read rule #13 and see you found one.
  4. Correct, PS2 games will not work on the 40g. Only PS3 Blu-ray media and possibly reg dvd's although I'm not sure on that. I'd also pay the extra $$$ for the backward compatible system as Cannon1 said. I think the PS2 is still the best selling system of all time and will be supported by Sony and game developers for years to come. There are many great PS2 games available for cheap and the Ps3 is still struggling to get games out. I do think once the PS3 has a large compliment of games, you won't be able to beat the sound/video quality of the PS3. The problem is once I started playing Ps3 games, the video quality of the Ps2 games just doesn't cut it for me anymore, especially on my 58" Panny Plasma, :)
  5. Yes, the 60 plays PS2 games also. I believe the only system that is NOT backward compatible is the new 40g system. The 20, 60 and 80g systems all are.
  6. I got my 60gb from Sonystyle.com a month or so ago. They were offering $150 credit on your first purchase of $299 or more when you sign up for the Sony credit card. The credit was on my first statement and it was also 6 months interest free. I already cancelled the card and got my ps3 for $350 for a 60g when they were $500. They may have similar offers available now or in the future. I know CC has the 60g with a dvd remote contol and a choice of 1 game or the 80g with Motorstorm for $499. Not really great deals.
  7. new8876 for 10% off worked for me tonight in the clearance section as posted here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=87204 Sorry, just realized you already saw it.
  8. Reward Zone is a free BB program that gives you points for each dollar spent good for money off certificates at BB. They also have a few other benefits but that is the main one. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=pcmcat44800050004&type=category
  9. We also got this last year. I even had trouble getting it to work correctly nevermind the kids. The sensor would always lose connection with the lightsaber. It lasted 3 fustrating days before going into storage.
  10. I did the trial too and ended up keeping it. I bought a 135 pound gazebo this summer. The gazebo arrived with missing pieces and minor damage from shipping so I called Amazon and they shipped another to me overnight for free. They told me to take whatever parts I needed to make a complete gazebo and return the rest. They arranged for UPS to come to my house to pick up the incomplete one. I didn't pay for any of the 3 shipments since I was a member. They also offered to just take money off. It's also nice that you don't have to worry about buying everything at once to get a shipping discount since it's free. I believe it only applies to items sold by Amazon which is still quite a bit. I buy things for friends and family too.
  11. The Samsung is $1349.99 at CircuitCity.com using code "KAAP6MRA6" and choosing instore pick up or free shipping. Of note, the Panny 42" 1080P Plasma is also $1349.99 using the same code.
  12. Received my Target Toy catalog in the mail today. Yours should be coming anytime now.
