The only way to stop retailers from opening this early is if the demand stops and I don't see enough people mad enough to do it.

I don't think anyone ( at least most) people won't be shopping at 5 p.m. Thanksgiving , luckily the things I need are all weekend. I will try getting them online (fingers crossed) if not I will try venturing out around midnight Thanksgiving.

I was going to order the DS but you have to pick it up at a store, and the closest one was an hour away. I think that the DS at GameStop is the best I've seen (so far). It comes with the DS and Luigi's mansion. You can buy them separately and it will come out to the same price our lower.

I would wait. I am also looking for one and so far the best deal I've seen is gamestop Black Friday ad with the console and game, waiting on the other ads though.

As someone who has worked holidays ( all except for Christmas) it really isn't that bad. I worked on Thanksgiving last year and we were given a thanksgiving catered feast. After work I was able to spend time with my family and eat at home. I worked for a bank inside Walmart and we were never closed because of Walmart. I got to know a lot of people at this particular store and most of the people that worked were their seasonal help or people that volunteered. I know this isn't true everywhere but most of the people there really didn't mind. The one's who did generally found someone to switch the shifts. Retail shifts are not great, and you know that there is a possibility that you will have to work a holiday. It sucks but it's not all that bad.

If you go to fisher price website right now they have the coupon available. You can still get a good deal on the puppy (either one). I am not sure if target still had them on sale or not but Walmart has them for $15 making them $5 after coupon.

If you go to target they have the puppy on sale for $15.19. Coupons.com has a fisher price coupon for $5 off, use that with the coupon on targets site for $5 off. Target cartwheel has 10% off fisher price and then use your target red card bringing it down to 3.78

I look forward to this every year and plan my schedule around it. Lol

Not really, I always find something someone in the family wants, so I guess it's just extra on top of what I all ready got them. Also I generally shop for me on Black Friday. This year I need a chest freezer.
