  1. I agree. I probably wouldn't buy them for someone who is unfamilar with the program, but I have friends that have been with me when I've used the certificates and even people I have told about restaurant.com before and they have shown an interest in the program. I do buy certificates for them. That way they can give it a try and see if it's something they would like to start participating in too. They already know the deal and I know they will enjoy the discount. So just be choosy about who you give them too. I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to save money, but you're right, there are crazy people out there that might not appreciate having to spend $ to save $.
  2. I saw those reviews too and I think they are referring to the old version but I don't expect this one to be all that sturdy either - at least not with a ten-year-old pounding action figures on it for hours on end. But it was the only big thing he asked for so I got it. He had the plain ol' standard ring and the turnbuckles snapped off recently. I think all that WWE stuff is built too flimsy for the wear and tear it's going to take. But I suspect that's their plan, so that when one ring breaks we go out to get a new one only to discover there's something bigger and better (and more expensive). Hmmm, when I say it like that it makes me realize they totally suckered me in...
  3. The Walmart price is $88 now, and out of stock. I hate I missed the $29.88 deal. But I know my local Walmart and TRU were both out of stock. So it was $69.99 or nothing for me, but still better than regular price.
  4. I was about to pay $99.99 for this from ToysRUs and decided to check Amazon first. Glad I did! Saved $69.99 AND it qualifies for Free Super Saver Shipping!! http://www.amazon.com/Jakks-WWE-Official-Scale-Ring/dp/B000N53DB0/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1195921660&sr=1-5
  5. I just saw them on buy.com for $19.99, but if you use google checkout and save the $10 that makes them $9.99
  6. I saw the Reindeer on a site I visited last night, pretty sure it was Amazon. You should be able to find them at your local Hallmark or specialty toy stores for about $12.
  7. Thanks! Just marked six people off my list for an amazing price!
  8. I was in Fatz cafe today and they were advertising $5 gift cards with the purchase of a $25 gift card.
  9. I was in Target yesterday and they had some really cute liquor dispensers. Globes, gas pumps etc. That might be a good FIL gift. You can go to Target.com and search "liquor" to see them (I tried to link it for you but I'm not allowed yet ) As for the MIL, what about some wine glasses and wine? Maybe even arrange in a nice basket or hatbox? Or even one of the Target dispensers and then a gift certificate to a good wine/liquor store. Sure, it sort of implies you think they're a little alcoholic, but oh well... at least you know they'll use it. You could even make that a couple gift - whenever I am buying for a couple and one of them is the hard-to-buy-for type, I just buy something for the other person and put both their names on it. Maybe then she'll get the message that you had no idea what to buy for her and start making more of an effort to help you get to know her better. I've been married into one of those strange families for a while, so I gave up trying to please them all a long time ago. As long as you can keep at least one of your in-laws in your good graces you're doing better than some people
