  1. Question: Are the Acers generally a decent laptop? I tried researching on epinions.com but find no reviews..also is an intel pentium processor better than the AMD's? I have seen a lot of talk about that throughout the thread. I have the opportunity to purchase the Acer Aspire 4315-2490 14.1" Widescreen Laptop (AS4315-2490) Intel Celeron M 530 • 80GB hard drive • Built-in wireless 802.11bg • 1GB of DDR2 memory • Burns CDs, plays DVDs • ExpressCard/54 slot for 429.00 with 10% off right now...worth it not to have to wait in line? It is for my dd for school stuff, normal internet use, picture saving.... Thanks you guys rock!!
  2. Yeah this happened the year of the 388 laptops at Walmart...They handed out pieces of numbered paper and told everyone to get on the Left side of the register then the managers came and said they could not honor the tickets because they were just numbers on a torn piece of paper and anyone could write one up, that it would not be fair! Said to line up on the right side of the register..first come first serve. I thought there was going to be a war! People started climbing over the little register island in electronics, cussing, yelling , hitting, shoving....but we got our laptop...gotta love Black Friday!!
  3. I know the Yankee Candle at the outlet mall where I live opens at midnight Thanksgiving night, there is usally people lined out the door. They come walking out every year with boxes of the large jar candles b/c they are usally 10.00 a piece or less. Do you have an outlet mall close by?
  4. Anyone know anything about the Polaroid cameras? I found a 10mp w/ optical zoom, etc. on clearance for 130.00 but wasn't sure the quality of the Polaroids...Any advice. I am looking to upgrade from my 5mp Samsung BF special from last year. It has been a great camera but the shutter sucks and am looking to spend in the 100.00 range...Don't need anything fancy.
  5. I almost bought one of these tonight for my daughter, they have them on sale for 79.00 at Walmart right now and in pink...but I didn't like the pink, it made the camera look cheap. I ended up with a Nikon pink 5 mp same features as the Kodak for 10.00 more, LCD a tad smaller but I have found Nikon is a better camera overall.

  10. I didn't find anything out about CC but I do know Target will price adjust since their sales is a 2 day sale.
  11. We do the same thing...works great!! Once I arrived at the register before my SIL got there...I just kept letting people go ahead of me until she arrived.
  12. Does anyone know the specifics on the free printer, router and software with any purchase of laptop being offered at CC this year? Do you have to purchase those items and then do a rebate? Does anyone know what brands are being offered? Do you have to signup for any internet service providers? I have just about decided to go to CC for the 299.99 laptop (I know the specifics on it, mail in rebate etc.) but want more details on the others before locking in my decision
  13. We went to CC last year in Cary NC and once you got inside, the lines were rediculous...couldn't move in the store at all...my SIL waited in line for 3 hours to make her purchase. I went into BB 3 times and out while she waited in line. What took so long is each customer was asked their phone number and zip code and the sloooowwwww cashiers took their time inputting the info. I swore I'd never do CC again however..never say never..they have the Compaq laptop for 299.99 after rebate...might have to suck it up.
  14. Anyone know which stores you can make your BF purchases online at midnight Thanksgiving night?? We did this for Best Buy last year and although it was jammed pack and slowed the computer down and we had to pay shipping, we were able to get some of the BF ads w/o standing in line...
  15. Does anyone know if you can purchase any of the BF items from CC online and if so what time?
  16. Does anyone know if CC does price adjustments? If you were to buy and item before BF , will they price adjust that item on BF for you?
  17. I have only done CC once but was so far back in the line, I don't recall getting asked if we were looking for specific items. I have done BB lots and know employees walk the line and ask what items we are looking and hand tickets/vouchers to secure you getting that item. Does CC do this or is it a run in and grab type thing? BB also usually has their employees offering coffee and doughnuts too, they are usually very organized...CC was a madhouse the year I went But I really want the Compaq computer....
