That columbus day sale is posted on the Toys R Us website so I would think it is national.

Our store is only open till 10. If there gonna be open at 5 this year, this really stinks. Now I will have 3 stores that open at 5 making it harder to get what I want. Hmmmm maybe Shopko will open at 4. That be nice cause then I could go there. Hit Walmart at 5 then Target. Wasn't there a time when Target opened at 7 for BF then moved it to 6?

I think all stores are at fault for the craziness on BF. The problem lies with many people wanting the items that are limited. If these stores had more quantities of these limited hot items, I don't think things would get so bad. I also blame the people cause many do not have self control on BF. I think more BF items need to be available online & that would also help cut down the craziness. To blame any store for putting doorbuster on there ad I am sorry but that is ridiculous. There are sales in my area through the year that are doorbusters & I have never seen people rushing, fighting or trampling someone to get these items. I think there is gonna be things done differently this year at Walmart. I don't know if it is true but I have read that people will not be allowed to surround the palletts this year like previous years. Instead there are going to be lines for the 5-11 items.

I bought 2 papers & got 3 Target ads. LMAO I didnt get a JC Penny's ad.

I didn't get to Walmart until 5:30 & walk in the doors & looked. OMG! The store was just packed & the lines were almost to the back of the store! In the past, my Walmart has not been this busy. Seeing today reminded of years ago going to Walmart. I have to say Walmart sure came through this year. The 42" HDTV's were flying out of the store. I went back to my store little after 10 to see what was left & alot of stuff was gone. Amazingly I was able to get everything I wanted. However I had to stand in line for like an hour. Hopefully next year they will have the bargains like this year.

At my store I heard the 1.50 towels were ringing up wrong. Not sure about anything else.

This just makes me sick. If you cannot control yourself better then this then you should not be going out on BF. I mean we all want to get the bargains but come on, you need to have respect for other people.

I went back to my Walmart little after 10 & they had some left but not many. Last year they had tons of DVDs left. This year they went faster.

Holy cow! that sure is not many. If there are many at your store that wants them, there is gonna be a riot. I would stay clear of that part of the store. LOL

That's odd that there sale this year is just doorbusters. Usually they have a section of doorbusters & then other things that are on sale. Thank's for the ad.

Not me, this is the first I have seen a listing of the ad & I am subscribed to all sorts of BF sites. I guess I should have been subscribed to even more. LMAO

You was lucky cause at my store they was gone in seconds. Boxes flying all over the place. The people went nuts over those at my store. The past few years there has been allot left of the doorbusters at my store. I think that could change this year. Then again I guess it would also depend on if people are gonna have the money or not to buy.

I think we all should have some form of protecitve gear on this year. LOL I agree it is gonna be crazier then it's ever been. I will be there tho. LMAO

Dear lord I remember the year that the special Cabbage Patch Newborns were 10.00. Now I see there having the 25th Anniversary ones for $10.00!!!!!!!! OMG it is gonna be like when they first released them back in the 80s. The way the crowds were. I am not so sure I even wanna attempt to try & get one.

Man did Walmart come thru this year. Holy crap! There is so much I want, I don't know how I am gonna be able to get it all. On the downside of this, there is gonna be even more people at the store & that is gonna make it even harder to get the stuff. Right now I am rounding up people to come along to help getting stuff. LMAO

What a great thread. This thread brought back memories. :) I miss the old days of bf shopping. It seems now that as each year passes, it gets more & more dangerous, the stores are opening earlier, you have to line up earlier, etc. Too bad things cannot go back to the way they was.

There is no Circuit City or Office Depot where I live either. We use to have a Toys R Us but that closed cause there prices was just too high & they was not making any money. Our Best Buy went into that building. Altho I never go to Best Buy on black friday. Too crazy for me. I am waiting on the Menards & Shopko ad too. Usually those 2 are out only days before black friday.

Well if anyone knows where I can get the first 3 seasons of the sopranos for under $20.00 anywhere else, I will go there to get them. To me this is a great bargain cause I dont have any of this show on dvd & usually I see these season sets from $40.00 & up.

I refuse to boycott any store over something as petty as this & to me it is petty. I will be at Walmart on Black Friday. I have seen the ad & there are some things I want that I don't have & think is a bargain for me. Boycotting a store over not seeing a sale ad early is just ridiculous IMO.
