OMG! I am going through black friday withdrawl this year! We always go over but this year I have been laid off from my job and with the new passport requirements, I can not justify laying out the $100 to get my passport. It's killing me not to go lol. My aunts are already calling asking if I plan to get my passport. To torture myself even more, I had to pop in and check the message board! Is it wrong to know you can get your passport in about 10 days if you go to the office in person:D Here I though I was safe using the excuse that I didn't have enough time to get one lol.

My aunt tries this. She doesn't call on my cell phone, but tries to give me a list of things to pick up for her when we go. Mind you, she does this everytime she finds out we are going across the border, so it doesn't surprise me she tries it on Black Friday too. I just tell her I can't promise anything, cash up front (taxes too!) and if she pushes it, then I tell her no, I won't have room in the car, nor the time to go looking for it. As for the handicap sticker, after years of playing the drive around and wait til she got a close spot, or have us drop her off at the door, she FINALLY applied for and got her handicap sticker! We joke and tell her that is why we bring her along . Makes her feel useful;) or she will guard the cart for us (she walks with a cane, the LAST thing I need is her trying to get in the middle of a mad dash).

ME! ME! ME! I am going through withdrawl up here! I even have a couple aunts who might come with me for the first time ever. Plus, I am so freaking organized this year I am scaring myself. I actually found a couple of good sales and bought my sister's gifts already. I have everything logged in "the book" so I can keep track of stuff (unlike previous years where I bought stuff and forgot about it :) ). The book is also kept under constant supervision so nosy minds don't get ahold of it! I have lists of things I need to buy or who wants what, the money being stashed away and now I just NEED to know what will be onsale to finalize the plan of attack! Brenda

We went to Walmart on Black Friday a few years ago (drove down from Canada, thanks to reading about it on here lol). I remember seeing that happen, but the person it happened to left her cart in one aisle and went shopping 3 aisles over. When she came back, she was shocked to see a couple of her items gone. Not sure why she would have left the cart unattended. Even my dad who usually hates shopping but thoroughly enjoyed himself that day knew better than to leave his cart unattended lol.

We are planning on heading down. We went down a few years ago and my mom still goes on about the sales she got at JC Penny on baby clothes. Now with the dollar so high, I can't wait to head down! Although if there is not much on sale that I want we may head down during the week. But I loved black friday when we went and already have the day booked off work to go lol
