Overslept and woke up at 6:40am. Left to go to Target not anticipating much left. Looked around for the 32in and 40in television. About to give up and head out into the mall and on the way down the escalator, saw ONE 40in TV next to the top of the escalator. Ran up the 'going down' escalator and look around for someone to claim the TV. No one did, so I took it :) Also bought The Dark Knight, two fleece jackets, and Milk (to bear my hunger)!

Target normally doesn't have a large crowd late in the day. And I've found that they have a lot of DVDs in stock and don't tend to run out.

Hello lcplwinkerswife; I got my mom a digital camera last black friday and I let her pick it herself. She choose the Nikon S51, which has a 3in screen. For me, its a bit big; but for my mom, its prefect. I would recommend you look at some from Nikon. They are easy to use and they have big LCD screens.

yeah, midnight is too late. I'm going to go at around 8:00 PM. I know last year, my friends went to best buys at 8:00pm and they got a great spot. i just hope Circuit City is the same. Last year, I went to CC and got there at 12:00am which made us thirtieth in line.....

hm, i wonder is 10:00 pm at circuit city is too late to snag one of the laptop deals.

I just saw on another Forum that CC employees advise costumers to go as early as 5:00pm. Do you think thats too early? I know if I want to get the Compaq Laptop I should go early... but 5:00PM, I think thats safe, but too early.

I'm going to get to circuit city buy 11pm. The circuit city in Daly City (south of san francisco) is surrounded by a shopping center and best buys... so I'm sure 11pm should be fine to snag a compaq laptop!!

Anyone with experience with the laptops on sale at BB and Circuit City? I really like the Toshiba one at Circuit city, but Sony is a really good brand too. Oh, and which is better, AMD duo processor or Intel Duo processor?

How many laptops were 400 or less OTD last year? I know Best Buys has the toshiba, but does anyone recall anywhere else that had one 400 or less OTD.

So 2 years ago at CompUSA, this man got out of line and tried to return 30 minutes later, to realize he lost his spot. He was so mad, he kicked the closest thing to him, which was a cart. Everyone in line thought it was funny. But then again, he lost a spot that was like 4th in line.

2 Years ago, CompUSA, someone stupidly put a cart by the entrance and i was pushed into the cart. Seconds later, I see a lady trip over the rug infront of the store. I felt so bad for her !! On a funnier note, my friend at CompUSA was robbed of a hard drive from a old lady (we're teenagers).

I'm saving all my money up from my part time job; which is about $1000, but I really want to limit myself to $600!! Previous years, i had no money to buy things. I only spend $50 last year on a external hard drive. So this year is a HUGE jump for me.

What is the best laptop for $500 or less? I started Black Friday shopping at 15 years old, which was 2 years ago and now since I have a job, I actually have money to spend !!! Okay, so i need a laptop for college. I need it for internet use, homework, and chatting. I live in San Francisco, and I was wondering where has the best deals with the greatest chance of getting the laptop. I always start at CompUSA cause they open at midnight, but is it better to wait at around 11-12pm at BB for the Doorbusters? Or any other store?
